Easy to Set Up and Run

I haven’t used this generator in an emergency yet, but the home wiring is done and I added oil, hooked up a propane tank, started it, and switched it in. I ran it 10 minutes or so with the lights and air conditioner running, and it did the job. I feel confident going into next hurricane season.

Wgen10500tfc

Unit has not been used intended yet. I unboxed and assembled per instructions. Started right up as expected and sounds fine. Verified output with dvm and ran a few power tools to verify operation. Build quality appears excellent and I haven't seen a documentation package this complete in quite some time. Well done.

The size and quality I wanted! Great price too.

I had it with having to break out the old 3k generator, hook up the extension cords to run thru a window into the house. Get another extension to get to the fridge in one room, the heater in another and the modem in a third room. All while it's raining and storming and doing it all by flashlight. I don't care how old you are, you're too old for that crap! I wanted to be sure I got a Westinghouse Generator because of the quality. When I got estimates to install the 50-amp Generator Box to the house, the electricians all asked if I was getting a Westinghouse Generator. They all agreed it was the one that worked every time it was needed. Just follow the maintenance schedule and you'll be fine. I needed a generator that could handle surges to 5000 wats (central air, 14 amps, 240 volts) while running the house. I wanted tri-fuel so I could start out on propane and then switch to natural gas. Running on propane to start gets you through the start of the storm for hours so there's no rush to switch over until it's not as bad. We followed the directions and had it assembled (wheel and brace) and running in half an hour. This had the sound you want to hear when cranked up. Powerful. After about 10 minutes, connected it to the house with the 50-amb plug and thru the double throw switch. That's it. It ran the house on propane. Even when the central air kicked in, no problem. Ran it for about 15 minutes then switched back so I could shut it down. Time for the first run oil change. This is, without a doubt, the best security blanket I could get for the house, No more worries.

Nice Generator

Bought this as a whole house portable unit with low THD. Arrived in great condition. Appears to have been upgraded and now has an oil filter. I believe it is reusable. Have not had the opportunity to power the house yet but unit is well made and has run power tools. Electric start is efficient and have not had any issues to date. Quieter and runs smoother with no load than other generators I have tried. Love the tri-fuel. Only 4 stars at this point because I haven’t seen it perform under the intended circumstances. Will post additional reviews once I’ve powered the entire house.

Highly recommend this for house backup power!

Bought this last year in prep for hurricane season and installed house transfer switch. Installed natural gas connection this yr (2024). This generator was a lifesaver after hurricane Milton. Was able to run AC, fridge, freezer, pool pump, lights and microwave on nat. gas. My hope is to never use gasoline as I keep 8 propane tanks in reserve as well.

Perfect

The perfect size trifuel generator for what we need. The price is great for what you get out of it. Other brands ask a thousand more for the similar unit. We have not put it to use yet but I run it just to check it every few months and it it starts and runs great. I can’t wait to see how it will perform on load. If you live in Houston it is a must have.

WGen10500TFc

I just bought the WGen 10500TFc generator a week ago and had a certified electrician set it up for me. It was a simple process for my electrician and once he set everything, he then showed me how to proceed with the actual start-up instructions and everything went quit well.

Great generator!

Had this delivered a month ago and just assembled it the other day. Everything assembled easily with the tools provided. Filled the oil sump and added fuel to the tank, connected the battery and opened the fuel valve. Used the remote start the first time and it started after 2 cranks on the starter. Wonderful! Great buy!

Tri-fuel 14500/11500 Generator

Purchased in May 2025. For clarity, this unit comes with ALL of the requirements for Tri-fuel, including a 15' NG 1/2" hose with quick-connect for the unit side and a straight male threaded end for the supply side. The only adds you'll need is how you will supply the electric to your source. This machine is a BEAST. It will run my 2700sq' home with HVAC ad all the things we will need! Thanks Westinghouse!

Impressive portable generator with 3 ways to powe!

I bought this generator after a recommendation from my electrician! The cost savings over a "built in " generator was substantial and this generator was the perfect size and fuel flexibility that made it a standout. I am sincerely impressed with the quality offered at this price point! Although I am not looking forward to the next storm and/power outage, now I am prepared!
