I was able to take time looking for this dryer. It is such a good dryer. I love the features. The steam feature comes in handy on occasion. All of my summer clothes dry so fast on the perm press mode. I love that it also has a sensory mode to stop when the clothes are dry. It is so energy efficient. This purchase makes me so happy.

This is the mate to our LG washer. It is slightly larger due to a larger vent connection. We have run multiple loads and it runs VERY quiet. It seems to also have good sensor recognition of when the items are dry. I reserve the option of updating this 6 months and 1-2 years out.

It was time to update my LG washer and dryer after over 15 years of faithful service. They both worked fine but I was anxious to replace them before I had a problem. With regard to the model DLGX4001B dryer, it’s amazing what technology advances have taken place in 15 years! The washer/dryer is WiFi enabled so that I can check the cycle progress on my phone and receive Alexa alerts once the cycle is finished. The dryer is paired to the washer so for example when the wash cycle for Towels is complete, the dryer automatically pre-selects the dry cycle for Towels. There are more cycles and each is much more unique with this model compared to my 15 year old machine. This model also features steam functions. It runs whisper quiet, smooth, and is solid as a rock. The unit looks great in black steel but a minor complaint is that the LED panel is a bit hard to see so I need reading glasses and a flashlight if I want to choose any of the many available dry options.

It takes much less time to dry than my old machine, and its easy to program. I don't have to worry about my delicates, and the heavy fabrics come out ready to fold and put away.

I appreciate that this dryer doesn't seem to radiate a lot of heat so the laundry room stays cool. I will use this dryer in summer whereas previously I used an outdoor drying rack.

I got the washer and dryer set about a week ago and so far so good. Dries as it should and I love that it connects to wifi so that I get notified on my phone when it's done drying. The pedestals are a must though! Makes moving clothes in and out much easier.

Within the month of owning this unit we have done multiple loads of laundry with no faults at all! The machine is whisper quiet, respectfully, and it very user friendly!! Pair this with the washer and it takes the guess work out of setting the dryer time and setting! Along with ease of use, the LG app and the ThinQ technology allows us to be away from the unit and home and monitor the status of each load! I highly recommend this unit and it’s sister dryer unit!

I had my last dryer for 34 years. It was good. This new dryer has so many features! I really like that it continues to tumble the clothes after drying so they won’t wrinkle. I also like the steam feature. It saved me from having to iron my table clothes at Christmas.

The frustration is that although it shows that it's connected to the house wi-fi, and I can follow wash progress, it no longer reports when a load is finished, and it stopped recording cycle history.
