OK Tire

When my Pilot AS3's wore out on my Accord I wanted something with somewhat better wear(drive 100 miles per day). I did not think these were as precise as the AS3's, but they were not marketed as a UHP tire either. I just had my Accord in for oil change at dealer and they told my tires were at 6/32's. Knowing I had 30K on them I was rather disappointed-thinking I would not hit 60K. However- I just looked at specs on tire- and it said these only come with 8.5/32's when new. Guess I'll hit 60K after all. My other minor quibble is that these tend to flat spot easily when sitting. In colder weather after sitting 2 or 3 days- I'll drive away and feel the flat spot every tire rotation until it warms up.

Great tire

This tire basically saved me driving through NJ's worst ice storm ever, this past Sunday Jan 18. My tires were tightly grabbing the road, even in the worst conditions. They have also worked really well in snow. I replaced my RAV4 RunFlat tires with these and the drive is so much quieter and smoother. I no longer feel every bump in the road. I'm glad I got these tires.

60,000 mile tires worn out at 25,000 miles

I bought a 2018 Chevrolet Equinox with these tires in April 2018. After just 25,000 miles, I was informed by the dealer that I need new tires. My wife drives this car. We are retired and drive this car between 3,000 (COVID) and 10,000 (normal) miles a year. We do not drive the car on gravel roads or in snow or icy conditions because it is not AWD. I would like someone to contact me so I can make an informed decision about buying my next set of tires.

Not exactly what i was hoping for

I purchased a set of the Premier A/S tires. I must say they have been somewhat disappointing. I mainly drive on concrete highways and these nosie is loudere than the worn out tires I took off. As these wear, I concerned they will get even louder. There is also some vibration with these tires that was present be fore these were installed. I have also noticed the handling concerns that others have mentioned. I'm watching my days, as I may take these tires back, but not quite sure how that part works.

30k mile tires max

These tires are rated for 60k miles but I'm already at 2/32 after 30k miles. What an absolute joke. They advertise a warranty for 60k but you need to have documented tire rotations every 5k miles or so - I rotate my own tires so no documented proof therefore no replacement

Great tire but nothing's perfect...

2012 Camry XLE 17 inch rims - 4 cyl. Researched the heck out of this tire - (I do for any major purchase). After driving in torrential Florida rains, and with a little over a thousand miles so far, I can safely say this was a good purchase. Lets address the biggies - EXCELLENT wet weather traction, control, acceleration, handling, braking, what have you. You have to experience it to believe it. Noise - I really haven't noticed any significant change in road noise good, bad, indifferent whatsoever. Mileage - I keep meticulous mileage records, and it would appear to be about a 10 percent reduction in overall mileage - combined city/highway dropped from 28.4 to 25.7 combined. Bottom line though - I will trade the mileage loss for the renewed confidence in the car's handling, and the safety aspects of this tire.

Thank you for providing your feedback in regard to your experience with Michelin Premier A/S tires. New tires having full tread depth will have more grip and rolling resistance in comparison to worn tires. As the new tires wear, the rolling resistance decreases. Over the life of the tires, all things being equal, the fuel efficiency should improve.

Excellent Tire, Quiet, High Gas Mileage, Smooth.

I am so happy with these tires! There are several reviews that claim drivers only got 38k or less miles on this tire. I wonder if these drivers had proper inflation, perfect alignment and what road conditions for which they were using these tires. My experience is the tire wore down after 58,334 miles. That is how many miles I drove before the ‘penny test' failed. However, I could probably drive another 5,000 miles safely. Given that I do a lot of long distance and business driving, I decided to replace them before they completely wore out. Remember, these are touring tires meant for smooth, super quiet, luxury rides. If you are using these for strenuous driving, you're better off with the sport edition. This is my personal experience and it's possible that other drivers received defective tires or had them installed by a non-professional.

Outstanding

2012 Buick, over 62,000 miles on Premiers, 124000 on the Buick, trying to decide whether to keep running them, or get new tires before winter. Great ride, happy with gas mileage, no issues with this set. I keep Michelins on the Buick and on my 2000 Silverado HD 4x4 pick up (254,000 miles, E rated strength tires for heavy loads, etc.) Glad Premier model is still available - Buick on Michelin Premiers is the best and safest ride there is! Problems? Check Your Tire Pressure.

I had the Premier tire installed 1200 mile ago and initially after installation I had noise, rough ride and straight tracking problems. After arriving home letting the tires cool for a couple of hours I double checked the tire pressure and found the installer had inceased each tire's pressure by 5 pounds over what was recommended for my car. I bleed off the additional air and took a test drive. The noise, ride and tracking was greatly improved. My point in all this is if you're having problems with these tires make sure the tire pressure is correct and you might find your problems will disappear.

Horrible tread wear! Only got 38,000 miles

I am extremely disappointed in the tread life of these tires. 38,000 miles out of 60,000 is not acceptable. Tires were balanced and rotated regularly and wore evenly. The only good news is that I felt very safe with these tires in both wet and dry conditions.
