We purchased a dryer and it wouldn't turn on. Service was scheduled and then didn't show. The soonest we could reschedule was over a week later. When service finally came, they determined that a new part was needed. It took another two weeks to get the part and service to return. All told, we were unable to do laundry for over six weeks.

I am genuinely impressed with this machine. It has just the right number of options and they actually work as designed. I tested the new machine on everything from delicate garments to quilts and rugs and the performance was very good. The sensor settings are surprisingly good at determining how dry the fabric really is. The manual settings are helpful when I want more control. I use permanent press for my dress clothes, but the damp dry signal is great for garments I prefer to hang to finish drying. The secret to reducing wrinkles is to remove clothing immediately after the machine starts singing. Personally, I find the sing-song at at the end of the cycle annoying, but I will admit I notice it more than I did the buzzer on my old machine. I use the normal sensor dry for my sheets. Even in my old machine, queen size sheets tend to ball up inside the fitted sheet, so mid-cycle I shake them out, restart and they come out completely dry. My old machine took two full cycles to dry sheets. The litmus test was a very large and heavy handmade quilt; it took a long time and required several rearrangements, but it got the job done, leaving only a few slightly damp areas which finished air drying.

This was a moving in gift, and it's one of my favorite things we own! My wife absolutely LOVES doing laundry and this has made her life so much easier (and more fun!) It's great; can't really say anything or think of anything bad about it. Fantastic brand and machine.

I purchase this 2 weeks ago and it is a great dryer, the main reason was the width was smaller so I was able to go thru the doors to the laundry room without having to remove the doors. but it is also a very quiet dryer and very easy to operate, the clothes are taking less time to dry too. Very Happy with this purchase

Our old washer and dryer were not good and the washer started to leak and the dryer took two times to dry things. I looked at all the washers and dryers on the market and the LG was a great choice and they are working great. Everything comes out cleaner and the dryer drys them one cycle.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I originally purchased another brand of dryer. When it was delivered and installed, the top was loose and it didn't have feet. The store replaced it and then the drum light didn't work on the replaced unit. I called the store and they said I could return it and select a different brand. I did and what a difference. The LG is quieter, bigger, and actually cost less, and the store refunded the difference. The thing I like best is that it senses when dried and turns off. Also, it is rated at the very top by Consumer Reports.

We purchased this dryer for our daughter's apartment. We had purchased one a year earlier for our other daughter when she bought her first home and it works flawlessly. The home was empty for almost 3 years, so the dryer vent which is almost 12 feet long was home to several creatures. The dryer sensed this and displayed an error code so we able clean the vent and it has worked perfectly. The dryer just purchased is very quiet which is important because the laundry closet is right outside the bedroom door.

I like the dryer and it seems to do the job for which it was designed. I would have preferred a top opening machine but none seem to be on the market. My only complaint was with the installation service. The dryer comes with the door hinged on the right when facing the machine, I wanted the door to be hinged on the left. twice I was told by the installation and service crew that doing this would degrade the performance of the machine and they refused to make the change even though the store told me it would be done. I am using the dryer but would rather have the door hinged on the other side

I bought this particular dryer because of great reviews, a very good sale price (Black Friday), and some specific features I was looking for that are very hard to find, especially in the price range I was looking at - warning lights for when the filter needs to be cleaned (which is after virtually every load, but people forget) and for when the dryer hose/vent needs to be cleaned (which people completely forget about for years at a time). By the way I am probably among the most analytical consumers you will find so when I buy something, it's been fully researched, and this dryer passed my test which I think says a lot.
