Solid build but trouble drying...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have had our LG dryer for about 6 months and the biggest issue is that clothes do not come out totally dry. The sensor drying is the real problem where most of the clothes are dried but the heavier garments (jeans, towels, etc.) that are in with that load are not dry. Sensor dry is the default. There are a great number of setting combinations so maybe we just need to figure out which is best. I usually turn to manual dry and a standard load is dry with the hour setting.

Major disappointment

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this dryer in Oct 2020 to replace an old dryer that finally died after 14 years. It has what appear to be good features but drying clothes is not one. Any sensor cycles leave clothes wet. Start it up again and it says it's done in just a few min and the clothes are still wet. Timed dry works marginally better but then the Flow Sense monster comes to visit. I totally understand the feature but the inconsistencies of it are infuriating. Sometimes a load will dry with no problems. Other times it will stop and give the 95 code for flow sense. Run it again and it may give an 80. The next time it may work fine again. I seriously doubt that my vent flow is changing that much in 60 minutes. The unit also totally stopped heating 1 month after the warranty expired. It gave no errors nor did the weird 'Smart Diagnostics' feature reveal anything. It would appear to be working but just never heated regardless what settings were used. Luckily I had bought the service plan. It turned out to be a thermal fuse. The repair center had pre-shipped a heating element which was not really needed but it contained the required fuse and the techs were able to install it anyway and repair it pretty quickly. The experience with the service was actually very good at least.

So far so good

Well, so far a great dryer. Would have given 5 stars, but delivery and "included" install turned into a big deal because proper parts were NOT with dryer as advertised. I even called ahead to verify and was assured they would be with delivery. Therefore, I had to purchase the proper cord and pipe fitting and do the install myself. Anyway, dryer works as expected with no problems. The only drawback is no interior light. We were aware of that, but still an inexcuseable design ommission. Now if it only lasts 22 years like our Kenmore we replaced...

Very consistent and reliable

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Almost everything works fine on what the selections given are. The only thing that does not work is compression socks on delicate. It takes using the manual option on low and running it twice to properly dry them. But everything else works excellent!

Sensor Dry does not work as advertised

Delicate cycle has not worked properly since I bought it. Had 2 parts replaced from repair dept with same result. LG tech tried to tell me that I was using the settings wrong. I am not. I select the delicate cycle and clothes are not fully dry. I select the delicate cycle and choose "more dry" and the clothes are not fully dry. I select the delicate cycle and select "very dry" and the clothes are not fully dry. I use the delicate cycle for fabrics that recommend it, not heavy clothing. I don't overload the machine, although it is an Ultra Large Capacity dryer.I bought this machine because of LG's "sensor dry" technology but it has yet to work as advertised. I just want a machine that actually does what LG says it's supposed to do.

Very impressed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First front load washer that we have ever had. I was not sure if it would be be as good as the old top loader. I was very wrong, cleans amazingly. Lots of settings that are easy to use and adjust. We are Happy with purchase.

Do not recommend this dryer

Does not dry well at all. Clothes still damp after multiple cycles. (Dryer vent line is new, short and clear) Controls are difficult to use and limit drying options. Owners manual does not have clear, detailed instructions. Web site offers little more. Description claims to be 7 cu ft. Drum is smaller that our previous dryer, and cannot load as much. Very disappointed.

Hello there. Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We understand your experience with the DLE3400W dryer. It must be concerning for clothes to still be damp after multiple cycles. Since your vent line is clear and new, this issue might be related to the dryer settings or the drying cycle selected. We recommend ensuring the cycle time and drying level are appropriately chosen based on the type of fabrics being dried. Sometimes, heavier loads or certain fabric types may require extended drying time. Additionally, double-checking the lint filter for any buildup is a good idea. We understand the difficulty with the controls, and we're sorry for the lack of detailed instructions in the manual. We would be happy to provide more assistance, including detailed troubleshooting for the drying performance. Please send us a private message on social media @LGUSSupport, and our team will be ready to help resolve this issue. We truly appreciate your patience. —Avril

Very Nice Machine

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's a beautiful machine with a delightful little chime whenever you turn it on. I love the display as it's very easy to read. Every now and then though, I notice my load isn't completely dry, so I have to send it through another drying cycle.

Drying time is so fast and machine is very quiet

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the LG Washer and Dryer. The dryer dries so fast. Most of my washes are dry within 30 minutes. My old dryer took almost an hour to dry the same type of load. It is also very quiet. I am very pleased with my purchase.

It's A Dry Heat, and Then Some!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased our LG dryer a couple months ago to replace a 17-year old model. What a difference. This appliance dries a huge load of towels in minutes, and the capacity isp retty amazing. It is quiet beyond belief.
