I researched it for a while and decided to purchase it. So far this unit has been the best I owned. I hope it will last 10 + years like the old ones did. It doesn't have the odors that the old ones did. That is a big plus for us. I would recommend this unit to anyone.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like how quiet the machine is and it looks great. I really needed a stacked machine due to limited space. What's not so great- very limited options for customizing your laundry cycles. Especially limited on the dryer. I cannot adjust drying temps on any of the regular settings. I have to use the timed settings. I did download the permanent press cycle but that is no better. Even when I select very dry, the clothes never come out dry. Always a little damp. If I restart the cycle, it turns off again within 5 minutes. Ducting is metal and clear. Washer doesn't tumble clothes as well as I think it should. It is especially apparent when washing a mattress pad. It just slips along the tub never flipping so all sides get some agitation.

My children still use the main unit on the first level but I LOVE having my own laundry. I’m short and adore the controls being right in front of me. I still have a lot to learn about laundry programming - and use the basic wash and dry. So far so good. My clothes come out clean and I love that it is a full size washer and dryer although the size of the entire unit is very compact. Hookup was a breeze.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this unit to replace a washer which was leaking and I wanted to gain more space by stacking the units. I have stacked units in the past and the vibration was extremely.worrisome. Yet I needed more spin to lower the amount of time it takes to dry. The wash tower solved both of those issues. I am washing new sheets and new towels to set up a short Term Rental and it has handled these items very well, my one concern is the dryer vent screen with lots of lint from the new bedding does miss some of the lint and I get a D-80 vent blockage code regularly. I clean out the screen after each load and other than that both the washing machine and the dryer seem to work very well. Quiet and efficient.

The capacity means I have to do fewer loads and large items like blankets and the dog bed actually get clean in a single wash. I like the AI because some loads end up taking a shorter time to wash or dry than anticipated. This is quieter than my old set. I even like the happy chime when a cycle is complete. I haven't used the 'smart features' that require a network connection or app, yet, so I can't say if they are useful. I was hesitant to buy a one-piece unit, but LG has a great reputation for washers and dryers, plus I've always replaced both at the same time anyway.

I and still noodling on the fact that this washer and dryer is ONE machine, meaning if one or the other stops working I will have no option but to purchase both. I feel confident that I would most likely buy as a pair anyway but that is with the anticipation that it would a number of years down the road. The features are plentiful and nice to have but I do find the machine to be much louder than anticipated. I'm not sure why that is but it was a bit unsettling at first, making me think something was wrong. So far, nothing has proven to be wrong so it's obviously, just loud.

I gave up my only closet in my studio apartment but it is worth it. Funny story. When the men came to deliver my washer dryer. It had to go in the bathroom closet that had the hook ups for it and when the young man pluged it up he could not get out of the closet. My grandson came up and ordered a longer cord. So I let the man out and waited a couple of days to try my new washer dryer. Everything worked fine.

I’ve had this just for a few weeks and I can’t say enough wonderful things about it. the various features and the mini wash cycles and dryer cycles are perfect. I get my laundry done in half the time that I used to get it done and it saves energy and water. Love it

The stacked washer and dryer save us a lot of room over the side by side. We were able to move our old refrigerator next to it , in the same room . Then we were able to buy a bigger refrigerator and put it in place of the old one. The washer/ dryer works great!!
