The washer and dryer that was in the unit at the time of purchase worked however occupied too much space. We purchased the LG tower to better utilize space available as well as the obtaining a front loader washer with the great reputation LG products provide.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Okay, this is how good the LG W/D combo is, I invite my family and neighbors over to the house to try it out - no kidding. Totally impressed. Only one personal gripe - I wish they came with rubber hose hook-ups. I really don't like the stiff, uncooperative braided wire hoses (its all you can find these days).

It fits perfectly in our small laundry room and yet provides the drum size to do a large load. Programming and use are pretty straightforward. The gentle cycle works well on my sweaters.

I bought this on November 6. It was installed on November 14. It ran beautifully for three days then the washer would not drain. It is now December and I cannot get anyone to come and fix the machine. The product may be great, but getting response from LG is impossible.

After searching for the "perfect W/D" my wife was more then happy when we (actually she did, her mind was already made up, lol.) decided to go with this LG W/D. It took a bit of reading the manual, until we learned all of the settings. Quiet, efficient, thorough, built like a tank. This little machine, has it all. An excellent choice, indeed!

We bought this not long ago and are completely in love with it!! I love all the choices you have for the washer & the dryer. Everything about it is just fabulous! I wish we had bought this a long time ago. I’m telling everyone we know how great it is!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I definitely haven't ever been this excited to have an appliance delivered before. As they wheeled it into our backyard and into our laundry room I felt like a kid on Christmas. This is one of the first "next gen" appliances for us, and a major upgrade over our previous washer and dryer. The first thing I noticed is they got the heights right. The dryer is convenient to put things in and out of without feeling like you have to reach up, and the washer is at an easy to reach height as well. As we did our first dozen loads of laundry, it was obvious that this washer and dryer unit was laundry-life-changing. One of the big upgrades on the washer side is that it leaves much less water in what I would call the seal channel of the door area. It seems like it does a great job of getting all the water out. You can also see this when you take your clothes out after a spin cycle, and they are nearly dry already. I think this plays to the efficiency of the appliance as well. Also, the control panel is very easy to use, and I really like that you can turn on the panel for the washer and dryer separately. The regular wash cycle is fast, and it's actually close to what the timer says. On our old washer, if it said 50 minutes, it was probably closer to 70. This washed a regular load in under 40 minutes. Once the wash is done, you put them in the dryer and your settings carry over. Were you washing on blanket settings? It knows it, and puts itself on the correct setting - pretty amazing. There's also a plethora of customizations that can be made to both washing and drying. The tech features are awesome, but also easy to use. The AI is built-in, so there's not need to mess with any settings. It takes the guesswork out of doing the laundry. The dryer also has a cool wrinkle care feature, so that if you leave your clothes in the dryer for a while, it will lightly tumble them occasionally, so they don't wrinkle. I like that because I am notorious for doing so! The lit inner drums of both the washer and dryer make it really easy to see. I've never seen an effective light inside a dryer until now! My one concern, moving from a side by side to a stackable was the potential vibration. I set it up without the wall anchors initially to see how it would do, and I was really surprised. Blankets, towels, really anything we throw at it, there is no vibration, no movement, nothing. This machine is super quiet, and really stable. I would say this is the perfect washer and dryer if you have a baby, and limited space. There's almost no extra noise from it, no typical rush of water sound, not banging around of a loose drum, nothing. It's really amazing how quiet it is.

It is quiet and efficient and, importantly, it does a great job with the clothes. It is technologically advanced, but not to the point of being difficult to use. So far (3 months) I can say I love it. Cold wash, HE detergent and start, simple.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought it for the stacking ability as I was remodeling my laundry room to include a sink and toilet. The washer is slightly louder than expected; as my office is right next to the room. It It does not have a "dark clothing" feature like my former washer did. When selecting the wash mode and adding "soil" or more spin, when you press the start button it takes about 60 seconds for the Wash TIME to appear which annoys me. I want to see how long a wash is when I select the additional features. The spin feature is superb. The dryer works well and is very quiet. I have 2 dogs and 5 cats so getting the animal hair is a must and the dryer does it well
