Hi Jax24, Thank you for sharing your experience with volume fluctuations on your Samsung U8000F TV. Sudden changes in volume can often be related to audio settings or content differences between sources or apps. Please try the following adjustments to help stabilize your TV's audio: 1. Enable Auto Volume. Go to: Settings > All Settings > Sound > Expert Settings > Auto Volume. This feature helps maintain a consistent volume level when switching channels or apps. 2. Change 3. . Try a different sound mode to see if one offers a more stable output: Settings > All Settings > Sound > Sound Mode (We recommend Standard or Amplify for more even performance.) 4. Check External Devices. If you're using a soundbar, receiver, or other audio device, check that its volume leveling or dynamic range settings aren’t interfering with the TV’s audio. 5. Update Firmware. Ensure your TV is running the latest software, as updates may include audio improvements: Settings > Support > Software Update > Update Now If the issue persists after these steps, please don’t hesitate to reach Samsung Customer Support at 1-800-SAMSUNG (8AM – 9PM EST Mon – Fri, 8AM – 6PM Sat – Sun). LiveChat is also available via the ‘Support’ link on our website. ~ Samsung Advisor

Picture issue

The picture keeps freezing and then returns to channel. Probably needs a tube or something. Probably cheaper to buy a new tv than have a service man come.

Run Device Care – Home > left directional key > Settings > Support > Device Care > Start Device Care If issues continue, contact Samsung Support at 1-800-SAMSUNG (8AM – 9PM EST Mon – Fri, 8AM – 6PM Sat – Sun). Great Overall TV

This TV is great for all applications. Great responsiveness for console gaming. Great picture clarity for watching 4k videos on streaming. Also works great with my external audio card using SPDIF connection.

Meh

Picture is good. Sound is terrible, and speakers are already distorting! Additionally, for no apparent reason, the TV will abruptly just turn off (an no, the timer isn't set). I've tried a hard reset and everything else to no avail

Hi Rich, We’re sorry to hear your U8000F TV is turning off on its own. Please try the following troubleshooting steps which may help resolve the issue: 1. Unplug the TV from the wall outlet or surge protector for at least 30 seconds. 2. Inspect the power cord for any visible damage. If damaged, the cord may need to be replaced. 3. Plug the TV directly into a wall outlet, bypassing any power strip or surge protector for now. 4. If the TV remains on long enough, try updating the TV’s software: Home > left directional key > Settings > Support > Software Update > Update Now. Note: If your TV powers off during the update, it could result in damage, so only proceed if the TV is stable. Next, check the TV’s Power and Energy Saving settings to ensure no timers or auto-off features are enabled: • Sleep Timer: Settings > All Settings > General & Privacy > Power and Energy Saving > Sleep Timer • Auto Power Off and Off Timer: Settings > All Settings > General & Privacy > Power and Energy Saving > Auto Power Off/Off Timer Also, if you have devices connected via HDMI, check if Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC) is enabled, as this can allow external devices to control the TV and may cause it to turn off: Settings > All Settings > General & Privacy > External Device Manager > Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC) = Off If your TV continues to power off unexpectedly, please call us at 1-800-SAMSUNG (8AM – 9PM EST Mon – Fri, 8AM – 6PM Sat – Sun). Would Not Recommend This Unit

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The TV shuts off by itself. There are no AV hook-ups. I tried to hook up an antenna for local stations and we were unable to do so.
