I have now had the tower for 1 year. I love my tower. The capacity is great. My husband wears uniforms that are not only dirty, but also stinky. My machine handles this situation with ease. I love the steam use for sanitizing my laundry that needs it. My sheets and towels after illness is a prime example. The controls being in the middle of the tower is perfect for us vertically challenged individuals. I would not hesitate to recommend this machine to anyone.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have done about 10 loads of laundry with my new machine. The machine is very quiet and I don't even realize it is on. The cycles are energy efficient but do not compromise on the quality of performance! The unit is very spacious for bedding as well. The smart feature is an added touch that makes the chore of washing clothes a breeze.

It has a much larger capacity than my previous unit. Drying time is greatly reduced. It’s quiet, although it sounds like an airplane taking off and landing. I’m disappointed that it sticks out 6 inches farther than the measurements stated. The touch panel is difficult to read at night, since I don’t have a light directly over the unit - it’s hard to find the the “on” buttons. It also activates if I accidentally bump it, which happens easily in my small kitchen. My mom is legally blind and it’s impossible for her to use this. I will put sticky bumps on the touch panel so she can feel the controls.

Bought this item around a month ago, have been using it almost every day since. It is super quiet, washes and dries fast. It is absolutely gorgeous. I am happy with this purchase so far. I have washed a queen size comforter in it. It took couple of cycles of drying but it handled it well otherwise. I would say it did not perform well when washing just one small jacket (probably machine went out of balance and gave me an error massage), but that was expected. If you are looking for a washer/dryer for a small space this is the way to go for sure. I have laundry closet really, and it fit very well. Mid area single panel is definitely a plus for me, compared to stackable options where I would have to strain to reach up the panel.

When I choose the small load option it will set to 30 minutes. However after about 2 minutes it shuts off. I read something about the dryer sensor can not sense the small amount of clothes or something like that. In the manual it says the small load option is for up to 3 items. Well then what is the point of the small load option if you need to fill up the dryer with more items for the sensor to work?! Also I haven't been able to get the wifi feature to work. The washtower looks good but for the cost I am not overly impressed with this unit so far.

I just got my LG Washtower 5.0 cu ft installed. When I try to use Steam Fresh on the dryer, all that happened was a blob of water was deposited in the center of my garment that I put on the special rack. I thought it was supposed to inject steam to dampen the entire garment, and then dry it. But it didn’t, so I put the garment back on the special rack, and selected delicate dry. It’s still sopping wet; with the blob of water in the center

I’ve had the white washtower for a few weeks. Pros Attractive, compact, huge capacity, ease of use, cleans well Cons Very heavy, takes a long time to dry, water hard to dry after using the wash tub, so it might mold with time Worst Scratches easily!! Be ware, the white paint has already scratched off when moving regular clothes from washer to dryer and the pink primer shows through

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m short so having the controls in the middle as opposed to the top and middle is very helpful and convenient. The washer works well and as does the dryer. The bedding cycle is amazing and the small load is convenient. I do not like the drain on the bottom left that you gave to clean out once a month. This is apparently on all up/downs. No matter what I do it leaks water onto my floor enough to have to get a towel because paper towels aren’t cutting it. I would also see what kind of venting you gave as I had a side by side situation prior to this purchase and I don’t like the way the vent is currently set up for my new up/down set up. So that’s something to consider when changing styles. I love the room it saved and the convenience of the putting the wash directly above. Easy to use.

I love the center located controls which are all push button. The front load washer and dryer close quietly and operate very quietly. After an initial issue with a clogged vent (which the dryer told me about via the error message!) we are up and running again.
