This detergent has a strong lavender smell at first. After washing and drying I didn't smell anything. As far as cleaning power, it isn't that great. This is probably best for people who don't get very messy or sweaty. Also, the suds are outrageous. Be prepared to do a second rinse.

If I could give this zero stars I would. I bought this reluctantly as a replacement for my favorite ECOS laundry detergent I've bought from Sam's & used for years (after it appeared that Sam's quit carrying ECOS for a time at least). Unfortunately, I'm going to have to return this detergent because every time I do a load of laundry it causes a 5d error code on my Maytag washing machine, which has to do with the formation of too many suds clogging up the drain line (from what I found online about that error code). I was certain it must be a normal laundry detergent and not one for HE machines, but low & behold it does have the HE or High Efficiency label on the bottle. Every load of laundry I've done with this soap has taken several hours and running the machine 2-3 times which is so wasteful & costly. It's so unfortunate cause I always root for Member's Mark to have quality products at an even better savings. Sadly this detergent misses the mark.

I've used many detergents over the years, but this one made my daughter immediately break out in large red patches and rashes. It was definitely the worst reaction I've seen to any laundry detergent of any kind. I would recommend trying something other than this!

Not as good as Ecos.....prefer Ecos over this one.

Not good and too costly. Bring back ECOS brand.
