The oil has a rich but soft taste with a slight bitterness and a pleasant aftertaste, typical of real cold pressing. It is great for both salads and hot dishes - it does not lose its aroma and gives food depth of taste and smoothness.

There is sometimes a problem with opening the bottle but I think that then you don't have to worry that it opened during delivery to the store. It tastes great when you make your own dressing.

The red wine vinegar is a staple in my homemade vinaigrettes so naturally I’ve been wanting to add their olive oil to the mix. Not only do they have this Robust variety, tailor made for dressings and drizzling but they also have a variety specifically for cooking and stir fries so I’m going to get a hold of that one to try out too. Olive oil in a plastic bottle, usually dark green for the sake of preservation, isn’t new but it’s typically still a bottle with an unpredictable pour spout so I was drawn to this taller bottle specifically made with a finer tip and made for squeezing. And really, it’s terrific for that packaging ease, where I don’t have to pour it into another container just to be able to be able to distribute it that way. I still do make use of my glass spray container for when that’s needed, but I do find that this squeeze/drizzle type gets quite a lot of use too. And the taste is exactly what I’m looking for in olive oil. A solid olive taste that compliments rather than overpowers the foods you pair it with. This absolutely upgraded my usual Mediterranean style pasta salad but I also found that it paired well with baked salmon, helping seal in that flavor and the added seasonings. Whether or not you’re on a kick with incorporating more healthy fats or not, this is definitely the addition to your kitchen you might not have known you needed. Both a flavor and a health powerhouse, it doesn’t take much to upgrade your dishes and flavor profiles. I’m definitely sticking to Pompeiian for my oils and liquids and I’ll likely grab anything else I discover by the brand too. Once a name sticks, they can usually be trusted for more quality goodies.

The taste is like no other and it's better to me then the fancy high prices brands . Love the Pompeian brand in our house and always my go to for any of my cooking.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great, easy to use product. The taste is flavorful, there is only extra virgin olive oil as an ingredient and it is a large container. I like the easy to open lid and the spout has a valve to ensure you don’t pour too much.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got Pompeian Robust Extra Virgin Olive Oil and didn't think there would be any difference 9n regular EVOO. But I was wrong. Like the name implies, there is definitely a different taste to this olive oil. It made some of the recipes I used it on more flavorful. I can't wait to try it on other things.
