I have tried different serums before and I enjoy using them as part of my facial routine, so I was excited to try a new one. To start off with, the packaging is gorgeous! I love the opalescent style of the bottle. Not only does the bottle look opalescent, but the serum itself has the same look! It is a thicker serum and more like a thin moisturizer versus an oily feeling serum. I find that it has a little more grip to it as I apply it and I can still feel it on my face afterwards too. It isn't an annoying feeling though, I only notice it if I touch my face. I also enjoy the scent of this serum. It smells faintly of a carmelized sweet potato. It helps to keep my face hydrated, but I haven't noticed too much of a difference as far as pores or tightening goes. For the price, I'd have to see more noticeable changes before I would buy it again.

I honestly think I would like it more if it didn't have the mica in it, which is what gives it its shimmer. It makes the product match how the bottle looks, which is cool and all but there's not enough of it to even give the impression of brighter skin by light reflection. The fragrance is also so very light in this so it could do without it. Some of its claims I do believe in was that it slightly improved my skin texture and made it a bit more even looking. I don't feel it did anything to make it firmer at all. It slightly helped with hydration but I can't say if it smoothed any lines of not. When I applied it it went on quite wet and I was able to smooth it into my skin evenly and it absorbed quickly. It didn't feel heavy and was light on my skin, which I liked. I've noticed less clogged pores since using also. This contains alpha hydroxy acid which is known to increase skin sensitivity to the sun so it is recommended to apply sunscreen after applying this in the morning. Overall, it's a good serum but could be improved some.
