I was looking for a low profile box spring for my elderly mother’s bed and this was perfect. She still needed a box spring to be able to attach her assistive bed rail to attach to. She is not very tall so for safety her bed needed to be lower to the ground. Most low profile box springs I could find were not 4” like this one. It’s very sturdy and was easy to put together.

This item has to be put together upon receipt. It is made of wood/metal. It was easy to assemble. I got this for a low profile bed so that we could raise it a little. We didn't want a full sized box spring. I did research also on price. This was a great price. California King products are hard to find. So we were extremely happy overall.

This is the best fitting and easiest mattress to put together ever. If I could give it more STARS I would. The easiest way to put the cover on was to put the mattress frame on the bed first. Lift up the frame adding the bottom of the pad all the way around. Put the slats on and zip away. You should have no problem when zippering it.

Terrible support, but an easy fix. We purchased this about a year ago and ended up unnecessarily replacing our mattress as a result. Several months after purchasing this, I started having back aches and very poor sleep patterns. I thought it was due to our older mattress, so we spent $1400 on a new mattress. After six months on the new mattress, I started having problems again. When I pulled off the mattress to check the support of the box spring, I realized the problem. The wood slats easily flexed downward and did not provide enough support. Thankfully, I came up with an easy fix. I placed a six-foot section of 2x4 under each side of the boxspring and now it provides the support I need for a good night's sleep. My plans to go to a chiropractor were no longer necessary and I'm sleeping through the night once again.

We were debating on whether we had made a mistake buying a king size mattress. It always seemed uneven and had an uncomfortable ridge in the middle as the furniture store installed it on two twin box springs. Additionally, it was so high it was difficult to get in and out of. This Zinus low profile box spring solves all our comfort issues and the Sam's price was 30-50% less than other stores. We highly recommend this purchase.

I recently moved my mattress off of the older 12” frame to the floor for my older dog’s benefit but I read that keeping the mattress on the floor is a bad idea. So, I purchased this frame for the sake of the mattress although I didn’t think it would feel anymore comfortable than the floor. I was wrong because the bed does feel more comfortable and sturdy. The frame is only 4” and my mattress is about 12” so it’s sits low enough for my needs. The bed frame arrived today and I was able to quickly set it up. The frame is light and east to move. So far no noise, but it is brand new.

Our 4" thick memory foam topper made the bed to high to climb into with the conventional 9" thick boxspring. This 4" box spring was the easiest solution. The box was shipped from CA to NJ. By my guesstimate it weighed about 90 lbs. I mention this because I needed another person to help carry it up stairs. There was no damaged to the Chinese made frame but one of the threaded holes for the screws was stripped. In addition we had to "urge" some of the parts to fit with a rubber mallet because the holes didn't quite line up.I could have drilled the frame straight through and used a nut and bolt, but it looks sturdy enough. They supply you with the dinky allen wrench needed for assembly. We're very handy so frame assembly took about a 1/2 hour. It's not rocket science, frame side #2 gets bolted to foot board # 2 and so on. Then you have to lay the wooden slats across the frame and they attached easily with velcro so there were no slats sliding around. The cover that goes on to this entire assembly has a zipper at the seam and it took two of us to pull and stretch it over the frame. I'm still waiting for the zipper to rip since it is sooo tight. Overall NOT something for a little old lady or man to deal with on their own. For everyone else we would recommend it. I got 4 stars because of the stripped screw and the extra finesse need to make the parts all fit.

I wanted to add a little height to my king memory foam mattress. This box spring is just the perfect fit. You have to assemble but the instructions are very clear and easy to follow. The wooden slats are easy to attach. And the box spring itself is very stable. My mattress never felt this good!! Fully recommend.

Frame was very easy to assemble. Had to do some adjusting to my be frame as the box spring was exactly the same width as the outer edge of the bed frame. But, the bed frame is 60 plus years old so it wasn't a surprise. Works good. Bought it to replace the standard height box spring which made the bed too high and difficult to get onto..
