I add one cup oats to 3 cups boiling water turn down heat to almost off, stir before putting lid on pot and cook for 15 minutes. this makes 4 servings pour 3 servings in bowl, and one in dish to eat now. refrigerate the 3 servings to heat up in the microwave later. do not heat them till all the water is absorbed because it will absorbed when you reheat them and it makes the pot easy to clean when nothing is sticking. when you eat them you can add something like peanut butter or yogurt

Skeptical initially but went ahead bought the huge bag, it was a very wise decision. I use a cup to make oatmeal for 4 every morning. I use my instant pot, delay timer 6-7 hours and cook it at high pressure for 2 min setting. That’s all I do- it comes out perfectly cooked.

My husband got addicted to steelcut oats during the pandemic. The name of the product confused me because they call it "pinhead oats." It is steelcut oats, nothing odd. I like to buy in bulk because I have 4 gallon square plastic containers that keeps it fresh. I bought a 25 lb bag somewhere else almost 3 years ago and it stayed fresh, but I ran out. My hubs will stay happy with this. Yay for Sam's Club!
