Replaced my old 4.5 HP 5 gallon vacuum with the Porter Cable 6.5 HP 10 gallon vacuum. The Porter Cable has a 2.5" hose whereas my old one only had a 1.25" hose. The added horsepower and the larger hose makes for an excellent vacuum on solid floors. The old one was satisfactory - but this one is excellent. I had no problem latching the lid as some other reviewers have noted. If you look closely at the latch you will be able to figure out how it works to securely attach the motor section to the can section.

The stainless steel is beautiful to look at. I have not used the wet suction yet, but it picks up very well for regular debris. The blower feature works well for keeping the garage clean. The accessories included with the unit work very well as a car vacuum.

I work at WalMart so when my husband called and said our old shop vac died, I grabbed this as a replacement. We are very happy with this purchase. Suction is great and the hose is wide enough to handle a large amount of debris. Has been awesome to have during our house remodel.

Very powerful and the perfect size. This isn't the only wet dry vacuum we own, but it is the favorite. Highly recommend this item. Note: it does use a bag, which I personally like as I think it lowers the dust during use and when emptying.

I use the Shop Vac every day it is better than my stick vacuum. I can pick up messes the kids make cereal %26 milk all at one time. Would recommend it to everyone that has kids.

This vacuum is very well built. This plastic attachments and metal canister. It looks awesome. Strong suction and huge capacity. I just wish I knew where to buy the filter bags. They make it easy to empty fine dust.

It’s a great powerful wet/dry vac, but the hose is huge like giant,you sure couldn’t vacuum out your car with it,I found a smaller hose that fits to vacuum floors and vehicles with smaller attachments,I’d say it’s mainly made for cleaning up liquid spills mostly it’s great for that
