This product does not pair well with Iphone.

Perfect size and is very fast

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Extreme Portable SSD. This is 1 T so you’re definitely getting tons of storage. Water and dust resistant. Shock and vibration resistant. Small enough to keep in a purse, pocket, or book bag. Roughly the size of a cell phone. This is great for any one who works on the go or has lots of photos.

Locked out of my own data. The installed software will NOT launch, the driver the company refer to is NOWHERE to be found. They didn't fix ANYTHING, the "More" link right on this page alleging to address the issue doesn't work. No idea what to do next-this is a travesty. I would return but all my data is trapped in there.

Just a little history... Back when the MacBook was a little, white laptop encased in plastic... [I owned a little, black back-up drive by Western Digital.] Then, as MacBook Pro evolved and became Silver Aluminum... [I owned the little, white back-up Drive by G-Technology.] On Small Business Saturday, I made the nervous decision to buy the little, grey SanDisk Portable SSD with 1 TB. Given my strange history with Western Digital, where 1 Device failed immediately... The 2nd Device lasted forever. [It still works--despite, being completely full.] This was still a difficult decision. However, SanDisk works smoothly! While it may not be the fastest SSD out there, it's fast enough for my MacBook needs. Unfortunately, I'm not into games, but I have an extensive iPhoto Library & Music Library. While I do have some iTunes films, it's definitely not the crucial library here... I'd also like to teach myself how to backup my dvd collection to this drive. However, it requires an optical drive or burner [that] I don't have... So, I love it. However, like so many reviewers here... I wish the device included a stronger, longer connection. It is quite awkward. However, because I couldn't upgrade to next level up SanDisk... [I believe it looks similar... It has that much more space for your money.] I knew I would have to give a little. It's a nice device--even with a super short cord!

I had two of these both break within weeks of when I got them. They wouldn't work with any high speed USB cables. Both Windows and Mac wouldn't even recognize them unless they were connected with USB 2.0 cables, meaning the data transfer speeds were heavily capped. Took them multiple weeks to get me the first replacement, second time I was able to get an upgrade to the PRO version of this product, which I haven't yet had issues with.

Very disappointed in this drive. I bought it to replace a drive I use at my school. So far, I have had to recreate tests and other school documents that I saved on this drive because I could no longer open them after I created and saved them. At first I thought it was user error, but I started saving them to another external drive first before the san disk drive. I still lost some of my documents on the San Disk but not on the other drive. I emailed WD support about my issue and I have not receive any response. The final straw that made me write this review is I am in the year book coordinator at my school and I just lost this 720 pictures I transferred from my camera to the San Disk drive. I have used many SanDisk and WD drives in the past and I am really disappointed in this product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really love the size of this portable ssd. It’s large enough to not get lost in a drawer but small enough it’s not taking up a ton of room. I love how to transfer cable has an adapter for a regular usb port as well as the c ends. It’s also pet sturdy for its size. Glad to have a safe place to store valued memories!

Great Speed and not too much heat, running on my Mac Mini M1. Form factor is a bit smaller than even expected, cute and manageable. However, the included cable is Way Too Short, risking torque on a USB-C port when trying to arrange the cable to not be right up against the adjacent HDMI cable - so be gentle... The included cable should be 2" to 4" inches longer - PLEASE :) And, to upgrade the Great Design of the casing - add a 1" flip down leg, for the option to raise the unit at one end - for more air flow and less heat. Having it sit flat on top of a machine makes it prone to getting hotter during large transfers, and thus could reduce lifespan.
