Sam's Laundry Detergent was on a list of top 10 for best laundry detergents to buy. The only thing I don't like is the cap and the markings for how much to use.

The way I see it = Detergent is detergent, and one brand is as good as another. This size is too heavy for me to handle over and over, so I have to empty into smaller sizecontainers.

My wife asks for the Members Mark brand of laundry detergent. She prefers MM over national brands. Better cleaning and leaves no stains from the product as some national brands

This detergent is clearly trying to pass itself off as a Tide alternative, same look, similar scent, and a much lower price. Unfortunately, that is where the similarities end. The cleaning performance is just not there. Clothes come out looking okay at a glance, but they do not smell clean. Instead, there is this weird in-between odor, like half clean and half dirty. It is actually worse than just having no scent at all, because it makes you question whether anything got properly washed. I even tried running loads twice, thinking maybe it just needed a heavier cycle or more time. Same result. The smell lingers and never really gets that fresh, clean finish you expect from a detergent. There might also be some kind of reaction going on with well water, because I have never had this issue with other brands. Both Tide and Arm and Hammer work perfectly fine under the same conditions, so it is not my washer or water alone causing the problem. Price wise, sure, it is cheap. But value is not just about cost, it has to actually work. This does not. Between the weak cleaning ability and the off smell, it ends up being a waste of money no matter how low the price is.

Using this detergent, I broke down in a serious gynecological rash. After one month of suffering and seeing three doctors, one a specialist, after review that specialist had to give me a strong steroid. Yet the problem kept occurring. It took Benadryl to stop the rash. I have spent hundreds in copays dealing with this. Now on a free and clear detergent and the problem went away.
