[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This runs everyday on a smallish ranch style style house with wood, ceramic and carpeted floors. There are three thin rugs on the carpet, a foam rug/mat by the shower in the bathroom and a thin rug (taped down) on the ceramic by a door. The DEEBOT N79 goes over all of these surfaces. The carpet is quite thick and hard to push a vacuum over it, but the DEEBOT N79 handles it pretty well. The DEEBOT N79 goes quite slowly over the thick carpet, but in the end it gets it all. We have two dogs, and every day, the dirt container on this vacuum is pretty full, so it does work. Just a couple things that could be improved: 1. When it's time for the vacuum to return to it's charging station, it seems to take a long time. Almost like it's lost. 2. It gets stuck sometimes in weird places. Like it wedges itself to tightly into a spot and can't get out, where it seems like it should have just turned around instead. I would buy this again and have recommended it to others already.

I love that my floors are clean every day when I come home! I enjoy being able to set it to a schedule of my choosing. It is pretty much a set and forget item as long as you empty the bin as often as your bot needs. When I first got it I needed to dump it daily but now it has gotten everywhere so clean I can dump it every one to two days. I LOVE MY DEEBOT!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had three or four of these robots. They work really well and are quieter than the Roomba brand. I have one upstairs and one downstairs. I used to have a housekeeper but don't now as I can manage with the help of the robot. The only con is sometimes it won't make its way back to the charger. Some of mine have broken, but Ecovacs always replaces them at no charge if you simply mail the bad one back to them. I have mine programmed for 8:10 every morning which is a reminder to leave the house to get the kids to school on time!

I reached out to Ecovacs for a replacement and they replaced the unit within 10 days. I was impressed with their speed and professionalism, not many companies are as pain-free! The vacuum itself is a godsend- I command Alexa to “Tell Deebot to start cleaning” a few times a week and my floors are just spotless. Extremely happy with this purchase.

My old vac was noisy, slow and got stuck a lot, this new one is speedy and quiet, even on my tile, and runs for a very long time. The long sweeping brushes have my floor molding all polished up and the only dust bunnies left are well hidden. I'm really happy. My home has 2 humans, 2 canines and 2 felines, so I fight hair all the time, little Deedee is really helping me keep it under control. Great little bot for the price!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'd been meaning to get a robotic vacuum for a while and my husband bought me the Deebot N79 for Christmas after doing some research on Wirecutter. I've been so happy with the N79. We got this model to try out a robotic vacuum and see if we liked it before moving on to more expensive models. However, after having it for several months, I'm very pleased with the N79. At times, since it doesn't map out our apartment, it can miss some spots, but that's easily remedied with either moving it with the included remote control or via the app. Our apartment is approximately 1000 sqft and it's easily able to clean the whole apartment on one charge. I empty it every 1-2 weeks (no pets, no kids, mostly just picking up dust), but I'm pretty sure it could go even longer between cleaning it out and still pick up everything is supposed to.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our first floor is all hardwood so we figured a product like this would work great to make sure our floors are regularly cleaned. We knew there would be a lot of hair (human and dog) so our only concern would be how it would handle the volume. It works great! It seems to pick up everything and the tool they give to clean out the brushes after works perfect to untangle any hair that might be stuck. The only issue we've seen is that it will occasionally grab the cords from phone chargers if they're left lying on the ground, but it's teaching us to not leave them where they shouldn't be. The app also works no matter where I am so I can have it run while I'm out in case it's not a scheduled day.

I have continued issues with this model. It will run into an object (furniture)and repeatedly run into it for minutes in the same pattern until I pick it up and manually reposition. It also runs for a maximum of 10-15 minutes before going into an alarm, which I have to press the power button to restart. Lastly, it rarely finds it's way back to the base and will be stopped randomly throughout our home and must be carried back to the charging base. I do not recommend this product.

We have named our robot Lurch. Lurch came to us about a month and a half ago. his set up was fairly painless. and putting his brushed on was a breeze. We have a German Shepard and a Lab/sharpei plus its windy where we live so there is always sweeping to be done in our house. We have lurch set to run twice a day and we clean him every time he finishes a round before he starts up again. We have stairs in our home and at first i was worried he would just throw himself down them, i was pleasantly surprised that did not happen. He detected the drop and never once has fallen down them. He transitions pretty well on and off of our rug. Only once in a while does he bunch it up and move on to somewhere else. Unfortunately though, Lurch has been having side brush malfunctions every single day the last week. we have swapped his brushes ahead of schedule and each time given him a vigorous clean. We had hopped this would work but now he has stopped moving all together. if i power him by remote he will use his side brushes. But when he is on auto they stop operating correctly. I plan on calling the customer service this week when i have a spare hour to see if i can get some help. Overall, when Lurch was running smooth he was AMAZING. i didn't have to sweep every single day, but a regular twice a week maintenance sweep.
