I rarely drink alcohol so choosing a favorite is very hard for me. I usually just drink whatever everyone I am with is drinking. While meeting friends for happy hour last week, someone ordered Jameson Black Barrel on the rocks and so did I. I was pleasantly surprised by the smooth and pleasant taste. It did not make me struggle for air after a sip like some alcoholic beverages do.

l cherish every small sip .... just a flavorful burst, sipping it straight. I'm not a connoisseur of fine whiskeys, but I can say that I hesitate when offered another fine whiskey, other than Jameson Black Barrel, as this is my all-time favorite sipping whiskey! A very beautiful paramedic told me about this whiskey, and I tried it, on her rave review. The whiskey has been as beautiful as she is!

I think the black barrel is missed by a lot of folks. If I am out somewhere and skeptical of the cocktail/inventory situation, the minute I see they have a black barrel on the shelf, I order it neat. I think people overlook this bottle and it is quite good. I had the opportunity to bottle my own bottle of black barrel while onsite at the distillery and it is delicious! The flavor profile is just a whole different level from regular Jameson.

I love to make a Jameson and ginger but I feel as if the normal Jameson doesn't cut it like the black barrel does. The flavor profile is so much better on the black barrel than the normal Jameson that it's had to go back to the cheaper bottle. The black barrel goes down smooth for how much flavor is in it.

Tastes very similar to the original Jameson just more refined. The black barrel is a blended whiskey like traditional Jameson and the label means it was finished longer and in additional barreling processes. Its easy drinking and slightly more bodied than the traditional blend. A good bottle to purchase if you already love the tried and true!

Today 2/28/24 picked up a bottle of Black to start getting ready for the St Pat day so when the day comes will get another to celebrate the day Jamo always is available and I enjoy it to the most So happy early st pat day and look forward to the celebration

While walking down the spirit isle in my local grocery store, I was looking for something to sip on for a bbq I planned on attending. Looks like the ran out my usual options, so I looked for something new. I saw Jameson black barrel and wand to try it out. Once I arrived to the bbq and poured myself a glass, I was instantly impressed by the taste.

Smooth but definitely is an acquired taste. Would not recommend for someone just starting out trying things. Nice after taste. Pairs well with a fire and good friends. Tastes amazing in coffee to help with a wicked hangover. Must try if you like other kinds they offer

I vacationed in Ireland in June and toured the Jameson facility in Dublin. I taste Jameson Black Barrel as a part of the tour and was impressed by the richness of the taste. Afterward returning to Norway I bought a bottle and was again pleased with the flavor of this whiskey.

I was turned on to Black Barrel a few years back and it's my go to whiskey. Whenever I bring it down to the Hibernian hall it's the first bottle of whiskey to go dry. The only other whiskey at the hall to go that fast is the Jameson Crested, which is hard to come by in the states. Whenever one of the brothers goes over to Ireland we ensure they bring back a couple of bottles for the hall, but those get hidden and only brought out on special occasions. Black Barrel is smooth making it a good sipping whiskey and the barrel gives it a nice flavor.
