Just what I was looking for...

The wattage was just what we needed to power our travel trailer. The 30A RV outlet is a plus since it means no adapter is required, just plug the RV power cord in and its good to go. I really like the dual fuel feature. In the past I've had generators that are gasoline only. My complaint with that is even if you take care to run the gasoline completely dry and/or use fuel stabilizers, I have always had issues getting a gas engine to start after it has sat for a while. Often generators will sit for a long time between uses. Many times I've pulled my old generator out after months in storage and struggled to get it to start. Propane pretty much eliminates those problems. Granted, you lose some wattage using propane vs gas. As a bonus, I'm already carrying (2) 20lb propane tanks on my travel trailer. My only complaint is it is a little louder than I expected. All in all I'm very happy with this purchase.

Beats Westinghouse generator hands down

I purchased 2 Westinghouse generators that were highly rated and neither of them started. The first was about same size as the Champion and the other was twice the size. The Champion started first pull and then added 100# propane tank in -20 degree weather. Very very pleased with the generator.

Started Right UP!

Unboxed and running within about 10 minutes. Mine shipped with oil so I didn't even have to pick up a quart from the store. I used propane for fuel and have only tested small appliances but so far it works great. DON'T FORGET TO USE THE CHOKE when starting or you won't get this to start.

Worked as needed, when needed.

This Champion worked as needed, and when I needed it most. I had it stored in the garage for a few months (without any gas in it), since the summer of 2020. When the record freeze hit us in South Texas, I lost power for 3-4 days. On day one, I cranked this thing up, and it worked without any issues. I used propane only, so I turned it on for four hours at a time with about 3 hours in between runs - enough to keep my fridge and deep freezer going. I also ran a microwave, toaster, some lights, a small heater, and kept our devices all charged up. Btw, I could NOT run the toaster and the microwave at the same time while the fridge and freezer was plugged in. So it was one at a time for the higher watt appliances. Also, I know it's suggested to run it at least once every 1-2 months to maintain it, but I only ran a test run once since the summer, and I had no issues starting it up during the freeze in Feb, perhaps because it was never run on gasoline. I've always used propane. It was definitely a great investment.

Great generator for price

Been running this generator almost nonstop for over a month and have had no issues. I do change the oil at least once a week (it says to every 100 hrs). At first I used propane but realized that gasoline was cheaper. If gas goes up again I will re evaluate. Use a good 10w 30 synthetic oil and machine will last a long time.
