Good features for the price

Just bought it last week. Intend to use on my Alaskan RV trip coming up this Summer and as an emergency backup for the house. Love the dual fuel feature. Whiched it was quieter and lighter

Works great right out of the box

I live in monroe LA and I purchased the generator for power outages. The first time I used it I was very impressed started on the first pull and powered my home for hours until the power came back on..

Excellent Product!!

We bought ours yesterday, it was the last one at Sam's, we are to be out of power for 3 more days, took it home, put oil in it, hooked it up to propane and it ran like a champ all night! I don't know how much propane was in my bottle since it was left over from last years camping, but it ran at least 10 hours before it ran out! I can't wait to use this camping as well! Only bad thing, Sams must've lost the funnel cause it didn't come with it. Exceeded expectations for price point!

Great Buy

I bought this generator and installed wheel kit which I purchased seperatley. Was simple installation. Put oil in and hooked up propane tank. Started on the second pull, let it run a min and checked it was producing electricity. Very happy with purchase.

Great generators

This is not the same generator you are looking at.i bought mine about 7 years ago,but it's also a champion and they are great.my son used it for 4 days straight after Harvey and the biggest test was a few days ago when the foundation guys were needing electricity to power their big jackhammer and my outside plugs were dead and I decided to pull my 4000 wat 7 year old champion(runs at 3500 watts)and they started laughing.they told me that their big jackhammer couldnt possibly run on their new 4000wat generac generator, how could my 7 year old champion possibly do the job.pulled it out, cranked it up and plugged in the jackhammer.the guy did not even let the thing warm up when he started using the jackhammer.in no time at all the guys had 3 large fans and a radio connected to it including the jackhammer and the champion just kept running.i told the owner of the foundation company he just didn't have a champion and advised him to go buy this one.thats right, the one you are now looking at.

worked well for power outage given the price

I purchased this after a recent storm knocked out power and ran most essentials in our 5,000sf house with it (yes, it's that big but pretty efficient). I selected it because it was in stock and not very expensive. The capacity exceeded my expectations and I ran two refrigerators, a small freezer, a lot of lights (all LED) and I could rotate between the furnace, water heater, dishwasher, sump pumps, etc. The only issues I had were: my older single speed furnace blower did not like the generator, even when it was the only load. My other furnace that is variable speed / inverter ran fine. I only overloaded it once when the water heater was on and I ran the microwave and hit 34 amps. The generator kept running and did not trip the overload. I did keep an amp meter on it so I could tell what I was using to avoid overloading it. The unit is only 120V so it won't run 240V loads. I connected my water heater at 120V for 25% output (1125W). The good thing about being 120 is you don't have to balance out all your load between phases. In order to get full 30A output, you have to buy a L5-30P which was nearly $20 at the orange lumberyard - buy ahead and you can order it online for half that. The unit started fine for me but my wife was unable to start it. It does not have wheels but I was able to pick it up and carry it short distances or use a dolly. If I were buying again, I would have bought all that were in stock to share with my neighbors who were also out of power.

Great Value!

I was skeptical buying this generator because it was so cheap. We have been without power for 3 days and we have been able to power our large freezer, fridge, tv, internet, chargers, fan and a light. Its supposed to run for 9 hrs on a full tank but we have only had to refill every 12-13 hrs. its loud but it starts easily and does the job. This generator is a great investmemt for us! Highly recommended!

Just purchased but so far I like ease of operation. Will be using to power A/C and small appliance in camp trailer.

Definitely would buy again

Best generator that we have purchased. Not to noisy and powerful enough to power several things at one. Used during a power outage for 4 days.
