do not buy this dryer. after a month and a half of purchasing new, the dryer started leaking water from the bottom (not from the connections). a few days after that, it started smoking and filled my house with toxic smoke in a few seconds. luckily i was right there and turned it off and unplug it before it caught my entire laundry room on fire. my air ducts are clear and was professionally installed... so i know with out a doubt it's not the dryer and not user error....I still have not been able to get it fixed or replaced...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This dryer setup was a breeze with not having to deal with running the vent. we had no problem getting running and connected to the Samsung Smart Things app and downloading new settings. There are a lot of different cycles to accommodate any type of material you are trying to dry, like for Bedding, Activewear, Towels and Air fluff as well as normal and Downloaded setting that you can download through the SmartThings app. The reversable door is a nice feature so you don't have to lean over the door to put clothes into the dryer or when they are stacked the doors are on the same side. I have found that clothes dried just as fast or faster than a regular dryer, but on the flip side with self dry or Sensor Dry a single pair of pants, blankets, and rugs the dryer doesn't want to stay running even if you put it on timed settings. There is a lot that I like about this dryer but it also has its setbacks as well.

Despite requiring its own 30A outlet (compared to the old unit's 20A), the difference in energy consumption is massive—this dryer uses about 60–70% less energy per load than the gas dryer did. That's a big win. When researching heat pump technology, I was prepared for longer drying times, but I've been pleasantly surprised by this dryer's performance. It handles loads effectively, even with the gentler heat cycle that comes with the auto-dry feature. I'm pretty meticulous with my laundry—similar fabrics together, jeans inside out, no dryer sheets—and I've noticed that the lower, more even heat is much gentler on my clothing compared to the high, direct heat from my old gas dryer. Connecting the unit to SmartThings was quick and seamless. I didn't realize how useful a notification for a completed load would be until I had it. It does not have a vent and uses heat pump technology to gently dry your clothes without over drying using a 360 air flow. This technology will save me up to 50 percent energy. I use the Smart things app for all my kitchen appliances and adding my new dryer is perfect for making my home a smart home. The smart things app will let you know when your clothes are dry. I can also start, stop or delay the cycle, all from my phone. I love the “filter notification” on the panel and that the filter is a double filter and decreases dust. I appreciate that the door is reversible since my home installation was built backwards with the dryer first and then the washer. No more jockeying clothes around doors and dropping them on the floor. Plus, I can see my clothes with the lighted drum. In addition , since by dryer does not have a vent, I look forward to having less dust in my home and not needing to check the vent for clogs. I'm very pleased with my new dryer.

I really liked it because it is modern and the best in technology since with its hybrid heat pump it helps you save electricity as it recycles hot air reducing heat loss, it also has a series of load configurations such as: towels, bedding, sportswear, etc. Something that caught my attention is that it does not have the annoying ventilation system, this makes it look much better and I do not have to worry about the space in the back of the dryer, it only has a small hose that you just have to connect to the drain of the washing machine and that's it, plus its smartThings application makes your life easier and more practical from the comfort of your home, you can change or reschedule the way your clothes dry. I was a little worried about the steam that this dryer would emit, thinking that over time it would smell bad or breed bacteria or something like that, but it turns out that it has a self-drying cycle that serves to dry the dryer drum which will help keep the dryer always dry. sometimes I use sensor dry, it helps me dry my clothes well without exceeding the electrical energy helping to save money, it has a large capacity and is very spacious inside, it also emits a sound that helps you know if your clothes are dry, this sound system can also be silenced if the noise bothers you, this dryer is very complete since it always keeps you informed of everything that happens with it, it also tells you when its filter is dirty, something very important that you should keep in mind is that the door can be changed in position for better comfort so you can open the door in the direction you like, I am very happy to have this dryer in my home, it took a while to arrive but it was worth it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We live in a duplex and our washer and dryer are in the center of the house so we have roughly a 30 foot vent tube from our dryer to the outside. It's a hassle to keep clean and very difficult to do since its so long. As soon as I heard about these heat pump dryers I just had to give one a try! These are definitely very sophisticated systems, but it works very well! At first I was skeptical that it would double my drying time and things like that. But I was definitely proven wrong! Installation is a breeze, you hook up the power cable, run a drain tube (optional) and you are pretty much good to go! Just make sure you have the drain line running out of the right hose or you will have quite a wet mess on your floor (as we found out). The operation is just as simple and easy as any regular dryer. There are many different settings from normal, to bedding, to towels and things like that. I found that with everything except towels this dryer works just as fast or faster as a regular dryer. Towels used to take a little over an hour to dry in our old dryer, in this one it takes about an hour and a half or maybe a little longer. That's totally fine with me if I save money on energy costs and don't have to clean out a 30 foot tube filled with dryer lint twice a year! There is a little bit more maintenance you have to do on this compared to a standard dryer. The lint trap is a little more complicated (and I'm not sure why) There is an outer and inner filter that has to be cleaned. You also need to vacuum out the coils maybe once a month or so (which onlt takes a couple minutes) There is also a slide out water tank that you have to empty after every couple loads (unless you have a drain line hooked up). overall, this is a great dryer, and I'm glad we decided to give it a try. If you are on the fence, I can tell you that it does work, and works very well!

Since it is located in our basement, I wish the dryer completion song was louder, I'm used to a loud buzzer. Features that I am pleased with are the inside drum light, the front lint trap, and the digital countdown of drying time left for the clothes

The 360 Air Flow even makes my towels softer. I like the automatic dry sensor. The smart things app lets me know when the clothes are dry, with a quick reminder to my phone. Have I mentioned my wife hates wrinkled clothes. The reversible dryer door was a great plus as our connections are backwards and we can now use the door correctly.
