For it being 2024…

Absolutely love the watch. I am not too fond of the apps. The watch is comfy durable and a great choice for a first time smart watch owner. Can’t wait to dive further into it. 5 stars on the watch all around. Battery life is amazing. Being able to cancel calls incoming at my wrist … LOVE.

New to Garmin

I needed a replacement for a Fitbit Versa 2. I had looked at Garmin in the past, but wasn't ready to buy a new watch. I bought this watch and will never go back to fitbit or any other smart watch. I haven't taken advantage of all the features, but so far it has exceeded my expectations! I have recommended it to friends and family.

Good for the price

I really like a lot about the watch, although I've had it for two months now and want to upgrade. Most of the features work pretty well, however when I work out and sweat the heart rate recorder doesn't work at all which is frustrating. As well as it disconnects from my phone at least 3 times a week and I have to reconnect which is irritating. Overall I'd rate the watch 3/5 stars, definitely a beginner watch. Great if you just want to record steps but wouldn't get it for working out.

Good Features & Great Value for your $$$

I bought this to replace my dying Fitbit & definitely made the right choice. There are so many more features than I had with my Fitbit. I really like the recovery mode feature, along with the stress tracking feature. I highly recommend if you are in the market for a Smartwatch/Fitness tracker.

Great Watch

I bought this three weeks ago and thought it looked great. I like the functionality of the watch and the look, for a smart watch it looks great. It's accurate and easy to setup. The only thing I didn't like was the strap which I changed straight away. Otherwise another great product from Garmin.

Solid Hardware

I've been using for about a month and am very happy with its performance. The p[rimary issue that keeps it from having a solid 5-star rating is that it isn't backwards compatible to the aps and watch faces that I really enjoyed and used on my Vivoactive 4. I presume that since the Vivoactive 5 is still relatively new, it doesn't have as many watch faces, but it seems that a much smaller percentage of them are free offerings. Also, one of my primary workout apps, ErgIQ, is not available in the Vivoactive 5 App portfolio. I expect that the App suite and watch faces are still maturing. When it passes milestones like this, I'll put away my Vivoactive 4 and never look back.

Great for a newbie to smartwatches!

I've been wearing my vivoactive 5 for about two weeks now, and I love it! I got it to replace an old Fitbit Inspire, so I'm still getting used to all the bells and whistles. Connecting Spotify was a little frustrating, but overall set-up was easy. It looks great, and I love using the Coach feature so far and doing workouts referencing the watch mainly instead of my phone (although I do still need the phone as a reminder of what certain moves are in the workouts). I like how much I can customize as well. It looks great, I was worried it might look too bulky, especially coming from the really low profile Inspire, but it's a great size and seems high quality so far. I'm hoping it holds up for years to come!

Big upgrade from the Vivoactive 3

I really like this upgrade from the vivoactive 3 and well worth the cost. The sensors work a lot better and all the colors make it easier to read. I feel it has a better connection to my phone for alerts than my vivoactive 3. I like the additional feature of O2 level, respirations, and health snapshot.

Nice upgrade

I had a Venue Sq and decided to get the Vivoactive 5. The bigger face is great and the watch is easy to navigate. Software/sync is far better than the Venue was. Haven't had any issues getting the watch to connect or upload data after a workout. I mainly cycle, golf, walk and some cardio/Pilates...all of which are supported with this watch. The new sensor is more accurate for pulse ox and I like the sleep metrics it captures. A great overall watch that does everything and won't break the bank.

Great data, not overwhelming

I had an Apple Watch many years ago but almost hated how connected it was. I do like activity tracking so was using Fitbit for a while. I desired a little more fitness data, better accuracy, and better connectivity with iPhone (text notifications - that Fitbit would only sometimes do). Initially, learning the watch was a little tricky. Lots of modifiability that I wasn’t used to and just had to get used to. However, I’ve really enjoyed it and learning the watch only took a couple days of messing around with it. Started a running training program which has been nice to switch up from my usual pattern of just going to run 3-5 miles. The body battery has been surprisingly accurate with how drained I feel. The HR tracking and activity mapping/data tracking has been a nice step up from Fitbit without having to pay the monthly subscription. I’m not a hard core runner athlete. This watch meets my daily needs and I love that I don’t have to charge but every 7-10 days or so.
