I bought the watch to be able to track my heart rate and steps and things and I love to cycle so that’s a plus! It even has a setting to use it without the connection to your phone or WiFi. I have used the 3 big “Smart/Fitness tracker watches” and by far this is the best one! Even compared to the more expensive one named after a fruit!

I had an Apple Watch many years ago but almost hated how connected it was. I do like activity tracking so was using Fitbit for a while. I desired a little more fitness data, better accuracy, and better connectivity with iPhone (text notifications - that Fitbit would only sometimes do). Initially, learning the watch was a little tricky. Lots of modifiability that I wasn’t used to and just had to get used to. However, I’ve really enjoyed it and learning the watch only took a couple days of messing around with it. Started a running training program which has been nice to switch up from my usual pattern of just going to run 3-5 miles. The body battery has been surprisingly accurate with how drained I feel. The HR tracking and activity mapping/data tracking has been a nice step up from Fitbit without having to pay the monthly subscription. I’m not a hard core runner athlete. This watch meets my daily needs and I love that I don’t have to charge but every 7-10 days or so.

I am very happy with my vivoactive 5 so far. Great value for the price as compared to something like an Apple Watch or Garmin Venu 3. The health features (including sleep tracking) are very good and there are many activities and apps. It is my first smartwatch so I would recommend it for other beginners or experienced users looking for a budget option. Some of the menus can be unintuitive but it becomes more familiar with time.

When this app and my watch are connecting, they're fantastic. But having to set up my device at least once, if not twice, a week is time consuming and makes me regret my "upgrade" to Garmin. I never put my actual goals into the app/watch anymore because it's a waste of my time. I could go back in time. I would have saved my money and bought a new fitb when my 5-year fitb broke.

I bought this watch about a month ago and I am very impressed with it. The battery lasts for about a week , The many features available makes the most versatile fitness watch i have ever owned. It synchronized with my Samsung equipment without trouble. Thanks Garmin for making a great product.

It keeps me motivated to move more and get to bed earlier. At first I was afraid of how big it looked on my wrist but I’ve gotten used to it and actually like the way it looks. The lilac color matches most of my clothes. It makes exercising more interesting and fun. I love the fitness age aspect.

I have had this about 2 weeks. Still getting used to some of the features. It's very responsive and minimum time for the GPS to work. Right now, I am not completely sold on the running or walking features using the GPS. It does verbalize my time at each mile split; however, I cannot locate that information once my run or walk are complete! According to the help area I should be able to locate that information. I haven't been able to do that! That is frustrating. I like that I know my overall time and average pace. I want to be able to find each mile and the calories burned as I did on my old 220 Forerunner. Supposedly I can find it on my home screen...I haven't been able to do that. I really don't want to have to return this watch, I like most of the features and the cost of this model. I do need some of the basic information that I am used to finding.

I had a Gamin Venu for several years and was very happy with it. I am disappointed with the Viviactive as twice in the last 4 days it has stopped tracking my bike ride with more than 10 miles to go. On three occasions it has indicated I have left my phone behind and wants new to use find my phone even though my phone was in my bike shirt pocket. While many other features seem to work ok, I can only give this a one as my primary need was a watch to accurately track my rides and it is failing at that.

I've been a Garmin user for a number of years. My previous watch was old and I needed a new one to more accurately track heart rate, activities, etc. I decided on the Vivoactive 5 after reading the reviews and have been very pleased. The heart rate is very accurate during an activity, the interface is easy to customize to the ones I use. I am very satisfied with the product.

I have had this watch for a little over 2 weeks, and I am so impressed with it!! It has a great display and I love the touchscreen feature! I have also really enjoyed the morning wake up feature where it goes over my sleep and the weather for the day!!
