I’ll never go back!

I had an Apple Watch prior to my Garmin and even after a week I could tell I would never switch back to Apple. The Garmin is a much better watch for half the price and has so many cool features. I like how in depth the health info is and how the watch can coach you into a better lifestyle. Absolutely worth the investment!

nice smart watch

a little different than my last garmin watch, but ok, so far. the charger is not usb, it plugs into my phone to charge, different but ok I guess. I can not find the stop watch to use, yet. some of the fitness options for working out in the gym are limited. but it is a little faster. not sure if the sleep is any more accurate, it was at first but now says I don't sleep well, I feel rested, weird.

So far so good

I switched from a Fitbit to the Garmin vivo5 and wished I did it sooner. It's a great watch. Easy to use and stats are simple. The only feature I would have appreciated is the workout options. I would add just a basic workout feature or cross training for those that do mixed training such as strength and conditioning.

Amazing Purchase

This is my 3rd Garmin smart watch! I started with the Vivosmart, then upgraded to the Vivoactive 4S dust gold. After 4 years of loving my Vivoactive 4S, I decided to further upgrade to the Vivoactive 5 metallic orchid. Talk about a real upgrade! Appearance wise, I love the color of the watch and the face size. Watch features are a game changer! Huge step up from the Vivoactive 4s and more like the Fenix 7, that my husband wears. The vibratant colors and details of each item on display is easy for anyone to read. I love seeing and understanding what is draining my body battery or how I slept. All of these details help in overall wellness. I am over the moon happy with my Vivoactive 5.

Garmin takes the lead--great watch, battery life

My first smart watch was a Garmin 10 years ago and then I went to the competitor that I thought had more advanced features. Not so any more! I'm very happy with this Garmin Vivoactive 5--the steps, sleep score, heart beat, and all the other data that syncs with my phone via Garmin connect really beats the competition. While the other big names were resting on their perceived reputation, Garmin was out researching and out developing the competitors.. Eleven day battery support--and to think, one of Garmin's competitors is bragging about 22 hours. I've had this watch for a couple of weeks and still learning additional features but I highly recommend it..

Very happy with the vivoactive 5!

I love my vivoactive 5 so far. I previously had the Forerunner 245 and I love it too, but you can't beat the AMOLED display for its vivid colors and easy readability. I also wanted the open water swim feature, and I'm looking forward to trying it out this spring/summer. The vivoactive 5 is a great multipurpose watch at an excellent price point.

Could be a 5 star

My last Garmin was a Vivoactive and I loved it! I’m still learning the features on my Vivoactive 5, but I am so disappointed that it doesn’t have the floors app or tell any elevation information when using GPS. I love hiking and enjoyed seeing my elevation change when I would sync with my phone. Is there anyway to add the app in an update??

Excellent tracker and value

I've been a Garmin user for a number of years. My previous watch was old and I needed a new one to more accurately track heart rate, activities, etc. I decided on the Vivoactive 5 after reading the reviews and have been very pleased. The heart rate is very accurate during an activity, the interface is easy to customize to the ones I use. I am very satisfied with the product.

Love it!!!

I switched from an Apple watch a month ago and I am totally in love with the Garmin. It tracks sooo much more than my Apple watch did and is way more accurate. I no longer get credit for exercising when just walking to and from my car! Haven’t looked back yet and I have Apple everything else.

Which Garmin is right for me?

My Vivoactive 5 was my first Garmin purchase, and it was a little hard deciding which one to get due to all the models they offer. For me, the main features I cared about were swimming, running, golfing, tennis, hiking, and music. I used their web app to help me figure out which one to get, and it recommended the Forerunner 165. But, the Forerunner didn't offer golfing, and you had to pay extra for music... but, I really wanted the altimeter for hiking. I was a bit torn. I ultimately settled on the Vivoactive 5, even though it doesn't have an altimeter. What I discovered after getting the Vivoactive 5 is that while it doesn't report your elevation while you are hiking, it does report it after the fact in the activity report, which is good enough for me. Overall, I'm very satisfied with my Vivoactive 5. It is counting my swim laps for me, providing useful stats on strokes per length, swolf, etc., music integration is a breeze, and it works well for all the other activities I wanted. So, if you're into the same sports I am into, I highly recommend it.
