Use as main power supply to house 1000 square ft.

I bought this GEN, tree years ago and not had to use in an emergency yet. Sitting here in Florida just west of Daytona 9OCT24 waiting for Hurricane Milton to hit. Hope I will not have to use the GENERATOR. But if I do. I have tested on the reg. and runs just fine except, for the RPM is not steady. It's a slight drop in RPM. I've tried it with and without a (light} load. It is the same. I run non-ethanol fuel only. I haven't tried propane as of yet. But I do like the GEN. It cranks up every time I test run it. It some what quit. And I like having a remote. I wish more details. But maybe after the hurricane.

Feature packed, well built unit.

I just bought this generator (Wgen9500DFC) and setting it up was a breeze. Will use it as power backup for our cottage when hydro is out. Easy to follow instructions and operating manual. The dual fuel option is great. Startup is easy with electric start and remote options. Quality construction. Highly recommended.

Got us through Hurricane Milton

Purchased in Sept 2023, first use was Oct 2024 during Hurricane Milton. Followed instructions for assembly and was using only propane. Giving a 4 star rating for 2 things: Initially, generator would start and then die after a few seconds. CO and maintenance lights would come on, but manual does not clearly explain what that means. Turns out it was due to the low oil level as detected by the sensor as the generator needed more oil than came provided in the 1.1 liter bottle. Second, the tire and location of the 50 Amp 14-50R outlet make it an awkward fit for my cord as it exits down from the plug. It is not a quiet generator, but that is to be expected due to its capacity.

Well built. Received amazingly fast.

The electrical and propane connections were well thought out. I had concerns about how I would install the generator, but my concerns had already been addressed. The generator has a small footprint for its output. The price was great compared to others I considered.

Plenty of outlets PLUS 50 amp for RV

We've been looking at generators for several months and kept coming across the Westinghouse due to it having a 50 amp outlet so that we can utilize with our RV as well as the necessary outlets to use here at home. Being in a rural area it will be a great asset when our service is down for more than a day.

Westinghouse - WGen9500TFc -WHAT A WORKHORSE UNIT

We love our Westinghouse WGen9500TFc generator, it uses gasoline, Liquid Propane Gas and Natural Gas as fuel and supplies us with up to 9,500w of running power, enough to power all of our electrical needs at home or 'ON-THE-GO' It is a Tri-Fuel unit so it is easily portable. OKLAHOMA is a state that has many tornadoes each year from MAY through November, and with heavy ICE storms December through February, each giving us multiple times or year with extended power outages. This WGen9500TFc unit has (2) Duplex 120v-20A 5-20R CFGI outlets, (1) 120/240v 30A, L14-30R outlet, & (1) 120/240v 50A, 14-50R outlet providing 120v to 240v 60Hz power for us. It moves easily on two large FLAT-FREE tires/wheels, and stabilized by (2) fixed front support legs. It easily hooks up to our existing natural gas line near our bypass switch having a quick connect adapter for the Natural Gas Line (suppled with unit) and allows us to use Liquid Propane with a quick disconnect hose (supplied with unit), and allows us to use the unit remotely with standard pump gas (non-ethanol of course). It assembled quickly, and with the supplied manuals and documents informs you how to properly connect & use your unit. This unit supplies enough wattage to support our whole home needs, thus allowing us not to have to purchase "fixed installation Units", it's easily portable, take any where, use anywhere. It comes with a supplied 12v battery which is mounted to the frame structure and it easily connects with a supplied electrical pigtail. For the 12v battery system, the unit comes with a supplied trickle-charge unit to provide battery charge support. I researched this unit, it's reviews, and shared them with a fellow co-worker whom is a licensed electrical engineer by trade and his thoughts on this unit were very impressive, so we bought one and are glad we did. this unit comes with a 3-year limited warranty, and if you follow the service requirements, it should last you and us, many years of quality service. Thanks Westinghouse for marketing these Tri-Fuel units, it was a great choice for us to be a Westinghouse WGwn9500TFc owner.

Great Features

Recently purchased this generator because of all the features. Although we intend to power it using only propane, I like that it can use gas as a backup, if needed. I also appreciate the included trickle charger to ensure the battery is always ready. In addition to the electric start, it also has a key fob so I can start it from the comfort of my home, a great feature when there's bad weather (great option for all, especially for older individuals or those with mobility challenges).

Positive review of Westinghouse WGen9500DFc 5stars

I was shopping for a generator that could power my RV off-grid, power my stick welder, and power the basics of my house when the electricity is out. I choose this model due to the size, dual fuel capable, and electric remote start. We have used it, mainly with propane so far. It was GREAT, I could use the remote from inside the RV to get power going. The wheels and folding handle allowed me to push it up ramps into the truck easily. I am very pleased with this purchase, I will definitely recommend this Westinghouse generator!
