When you can get it fresh it's great

The first bag I purchased was extremely fresh and really good quality, but when I went to buy another bag recently the quality looked was much worse than what I had left in my2 week old bag at home so I didn't buy more as I had intended. My recommendation is to pay close attention to what's available as it may vary greatly from one visit to another. Frankly when I was there most recently I was shocked at the difference and surprised the produce staff didn't pull the current product as it was really not up to standards - maybe a bad shipment? For reference my location is Tennessee but I shop in Kentucky

Could have been 5 stars

Most packages are really good. We cook them in the oven ahead of being needed then warm them up which makes dinner easy. Last package had florets that appeared to have the outer green leaves removed because they were mostly all white, small and soft. Otherwise it would have been rated 5 stars.

Healthy & Easy To Prepare

Fresh, they keep a good while, and so easy to prepare. Just place in a steamer basket, covered, over boiling water for no more than 15 minutes until fork slides through easily but still bright green.. Remove from heat, remove lid and salt. Melt a little butter in a bowl and toss around cooked, salted florets. Ready to eat! (Pour water underneath basket in pot down the drain asap to prevent unpleasant smells. Overcooking also causes bad smell.)

Bad smell

I have been buying this bag of broccoli for a long time. I pick up a bag every single time I go to Sam’s. The last two bags I bought smelled my fridge up so bad, I had to throw them away. It took forever for the smell to go away. They weren’t expired and they looked fine.

Convenient option for quick dinners

I buy these for convenience but they go bad very fast. They are usually cut to small bite size pieces but this time around the pieces were much bigger. I usually have to trim the stalks as they dry out in the bag. Wash and dry them then roast at 400F covered with foil for 20 minutes then remove foil and roast another 10 minutes. Perfectly crispy and golden every time!

Taylor Farms broccoli

This is a good broccoli to add on a veggie tray for a party. You might have to cut a few pieces to make smaller but it was a hit! Also took the rest and steamed it to eat with Teppanyaki Rice packet from Sam’s Club (Southgate). A very good meal for me!

The best cheat code for a healthy side dish

This is my go-to for easy side dishes! The pieces are big, but easily chopped one more time. The broccoli roasts perfectly. Shelf life in the fridge seems good, but it never really lasts that long between roasting it, throwing it in a salad or snacking on it raw.

Horrible in taste.... not edible

We cook frozen broccoli for decades now the same way and know what to expect. But this brand has been an exception. When i tried it i became so petrified that i may have got covid. Very glad i did not and it was this product that had a foul taste. We had to throw it away as the whole family unanimously agreed.

Taylor Farms Broccoli

I have tried this broccoli several times; in fact, we really enjoy broccoli cooked in the air fryer and unfortunately it does not ever cook up right. I DO know how to make broccoli this way as this never happens when I cut the broccoli myself. I was trying to make my life a little easier but unfortunately it just didn’t work out.

Broccoli - a staple at our house

Good product. Broccoli - an absolute staple in our kitchen. Quick - steamed tender mostly - 2- 3x/week sometimes more often. In a bowl on the counter as a walk-by snack. A little dip of some kind or (my favorite) a little olive oil and some “shaker parmesan” & black pepper. This packaging makes doing this very simple. Very fresh - nice sized cut.
