- 5 out of 5 stars review11/5/2021Replaced Michelin Primacy that were standard on my Honda Accord. I expected similar levels of handling, comfort, and sound. Both sound levels and comfort seem unchanged from the Michelin, but I was shocked by the more responsive steering with the Goodyear Assurance ComfortDrive. At the first left hand turn at a traffic light, I noticed an unexpected difference in responsiveness. Perhaps the better handling may be attributable to stiffer sidewalls and slightly stickier rubber. I purchased the tires with a bias towards quiet and comfort, but feel pleased with the unexpected improvement in responsiveness for a tire that is promoted/named for comfort.

There's no driver feedback, and it just deadens everything, isolating the car from the road 100%. Handling is mildly vague. They certainly take all the fun out of driving, so if you like a playful or sporty handling car, this is not your tire. But if you prize a quiet, sedate, soft ride with excellent traction and don't care about sportiness or feeling the road, this is about as good as it gets.

We aren't disloyal, but had so much road noise, and not a smooth drive. Began to to consider Goodyear brand, as it's reputable, premier, and used in NASCAR, so I decided this would be my next brand. Love the Goodyear Assurance Comfort for All Season driving and sold on the brand for future purchases. We live in NC mountains and I feel safe & confident in all driving conditions since purchasing 6 months ago. Have heard the same from our mechanic, as well as the tire store that we used, they too changed from "M" to Goodyear. Can't comment on other makes & models or trucks, but for RAV4, it's ce...

The pros would be a quiet, comfortable drive that's definitely good for long road trips or highway driving. Also seem very durable only owned for a few months and already curbed a few times plus hit a large rock which didn't even faze the tires. Dry and wet traction is good. The cons is they seem very heavy which I feel affects handling and especially braking both seem to take longer than my OEM tires. Can't comment on tread life or winter traction as I live in Florida.

They also provide excellent traction and confidence on wet pavement. I'm retired, so I mainly avoid driving in the snow. But I have driven them in light snow, and they felt reasonably secure with good traction. I've had them around 8 months and put only 5,000 miles on them, so I really can't comment on the tread life. IN SUMMARY: they're great for dry roads, great for wet roads, and OK for snow-covered roads, so they fit my driving very well. I love them!
Great tire for rain or shine

I can say that 2 vehicles of mine and suv and car once the original tires went I bought these tires. With out a doubt I noticed a difference in how much quieter the cabin sounded on the road how much less I felt and heard those lines that you can drop a beat to on the highways. They sliced through rain grabbed the road when I turned and stuck when I take off. So far it's my go to tire I personally recommend these. For anyone who hates noisy driving and constant road vibration and wants a good grip with good life. These I'd suggest. Also didn't have a problem driving through snow!

They're definitely smooth and quiet, but my gas mileage took a 10% dive. I took a 400-mile freeway trip on my old tires and saw 37.7mpg in my 2018 CR-V. With these new tires, I could barely manage 34mpg. Same drive, same speed, same weather, same car, same 35psi. I'm stuck with these tires for the next 5 years or so and the money I'll be losing on gas is a huge disappointment.
Great tires if you don't care about MPG

They drive smoothly and softly. A pleasure to have on my car. A definite improvement over the previous Yokohama Avids. I have not explored the limits of the tires' performance, and I don't plan to, so I can't speak to wet traction. I'm sure they will be fine in the snow. I'm glad I bought these.

Lol so 2 set of tires are really but 2 other tires are just almost bald and I even rotated the tires, balances and alignments. These tires are highway driven. But buyer beware but what is funny. I ask my brother who works at the Goodyear Plant and he said that is why I don't buy Goodyear tires. He buys Hankook tires for his car. Well lesson learned too funny my brother doesn't like Goodyear tires and he works for them. He said that Goodyear tires are trash and I wasted money on a set of 4. No more business from me on Goodyear tires for daily driving. Had these tires for about 1 1/2 years. Not cool

The originals were very good tires, but these GY's outperform them in ride comfort, secure handling, and traction. Also, the tires balanced out perfectly. Most favorable is the outstanding interstate highway touring. Highly recommend and will instal these on my other car when needed.

You feel every road bump, pebble, cracks, and imperfections. My bald Michelin tires road better. A huge disappointment! They actually make the car louder with the tire noise. I highly recommend a different tire. It can't possibly be worse. I wish I could return them. Also, the side walls were scuffed up even before they were put on the car . They look old and dingy from day one. Had them on for about 1 1/2 to 2 months. So the next section of this review could change. Buyer beware!

I have always had Michelin Tires for 20 years. I wont anymore. I have a "sport" suspension so it is a little stiffer ride, but I put on these Goodyear Comfort Ride tires and I really notice the difference in a nice smoother ride. I like them better for several reasons: 1) The ride is much nicer (not as stiff) and much quieter . 2)The Winter traction is MUCH BETTER and handles great. 3) The treadwear is 60,000 miles whereas the Michelin were 45,000 miles. My Michelin tires didnt even come close to the treadwear warranty. I had to replace them at 32,000....that has been an issue for Michelin over the past years if you read other comments about them and their tire war...

Easily get 80 k Had a screw in my 2015 Lexus ES 350 and had to place one comfort drive on with the other three comfort touring. Supposedly the comfort drive was the exact replacement for the discontinued comfort touring . Have about 78000 miles on the comfort touring and about 55000 on the comfort drive. Here's the kicker , the comfort touring with the 78000 miles has much more tread left than the 55000 mile comfort drive. Tires were religiously rotated regularly. Would love to get the assurance comfort touring but I guess Goodyear realized it was too good and gave us consumers way more miles than they figured on . At least that's my 2 cents

I am a stickler for proper tire inflation and rotation but the Michelins did not hold up as they should have so I bought the Assurance ComfortDrives based on a lot of research and reading reviews. I have about 3,000 miles on them and remain unimpressed. The tractions seems pretty good but the ride does not live up to the hype. And, my gas mileage has dropped by about 3mpg since installing these tires. Time will tell how well they wear. I would not recommend these tires.

Every time I would end up being dissatisfied with the road noise or stiff ride. This time I decided to focus on ride comfort and quiet road noise. I selected Goodyear's "ComfortDrive". I couldn't be happier to this point, as advertised performance! The ride seems to be better now than at any time that I've owned this Maxima in the past 9 years. By the way, it's nice to be so happy with a purchase that you want to write a good review! Scott V

My SUV went from having the quietest, smoothest ride of any vehicle I've ever owned to riding like a jalopy. Instantly I noticed the sound of the tires in the parking lot. So loud! Then the tires emphasized every little bump, literally bouncing me around in my seat.

Good handling and traction on dry and wet roads (no snow roads yet). Low road noise. My only concern after 700 miles is the reduction in MPG. Went from 36 MPG to 33.7MPG. Also, the PSI in these tires during the first week varied a lot with 20-degree temperature swings. Seems to have leveled out now but will keep an eye on it.

I love the new Goodyear Assurance Comfort Drive tires, they give us a smooth ride and no road noise. They are everything I was hoping for.

Admittedly, the OE Continentals had over 33K miles on them, but these new Goodyear "ComfortDrive" tires are better riding, better steering, and better cornering. I did not expect so much all- around competence. Very pleased so far, but we'll see how they do this winter.
More than I expected

These are the quietest, smoothest, easiest to handle tires we've had. They do wear quick but last longer than other types we've tried. We purchase them at Just Tires and normally will have some warranty coverage when we have to replace all 4, which helps the price. We just put in our third set.
