Absolutely awful to put together, side rails are flimsy and distort at the drop of a hat. Rubber mallet is totally insufficient to hammer anything together unless you want to destroy the rubber mallet head.

I've purchased at lease a dozen of these for work and 2 for home. Not hard to build at all... for me at least. I use them at the half height. for office and warehouse storage. Had em for about 1.5 years now, and no complaints.

Worst shelf ever. I’ve would fire the engineer and developer on this shelf it hard assemble and easy fall apart on you and not very safe. Would rather pay more money for better quality.

If you enjoy using profanity & tearing your hair out this is the product for you! Horrible to put together & not as heavy duty as I had hoped. Shelves flimsy & edges already peeling! Would not purchase another!

Do not use these as one unit if you are going to put canning jars on them. I got mine yesterday, assembled today and started to load them. I had less than a dozen jars on the top portion when it toppled over spilling and breaking all my jars. They are not sturdy as a single tall unit.

The short rails for the top portion are thinner than the long rails for the bottom, The riveted pins that hold the whole mess together don't provide enough tension to hold the shelf plates to the rails, very loose and very frustrating to attempt to put the top unit onto the bottom unit. The short rails are at least .030 thousands thinner than the bottom rails, very disappointed in this horrible shelving system. The way the top is fastened to the bottom portion will have NO weight bearing ability. going to have to have separate shelves now as I don't want to cart them back to the store. At 80 pounds it was a hassle just getting them to where they would sit. Horrible.

This storage rack is truly terrible. I had ordered online and delivered to home. I wish I could return it but there is no way I can carry this into my car and then to local Sam’s Club. I am very disappointed for such awful quality. This item should not sold online.

I almost never feel strongly enough about any product to leave a bad review. This is the exception. First let me say that in 60 years on this earth I put together all sorts of things with though significant problems. That includes rebuilding entire cars. But this thing is in a class by itself. I have assembled several similar shelving units and the horizontal shelf brackets have rivet–like studs on them that lock securely into the keyhole slots on the vertical supports. In fact, you have to tap it together with a hammer. Once you do this it's about as strong as a bolted connection. Not this piece of junk. The studs fit so loosely that is soon as you got one inserted and went to do the other post the first one fell apart. It took two of us to put it together and even that was a pain. My recommendation: look elsewhere. But if you buy this bring a couple of friends to help put it together.

We purchased this last week to put in the garage for my canning jars and supplies. Last night my husband and I tried to assemble the unit. The pieces are flimsy making assembly difficult. Legs, holes, and other pieces do not line up. After an hour of frustration and parts falling, it went back into the box and will be returned today.

Hard to assemble. Use metal screws to help stablize. Shaky while assembling.
