We've had this refrigerator for roughly 3 years. The ice maker has been terrible from day one. The ice doesn't come out of the tray which causes leakage inside the freezer which ices up and them jams up the ice maker. We've had to thaw everything out several times and have finally just turned the ice maker off to avoid the ice all over the inside of our freezer. In addition, the ice maker has always been extremely slow. Takes forever to get a cup of ice. Also, there is no light on the outside, so when filling a cup at night, youre doing it blind. Extremely poor design. Would not buy again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This refrigerator is by far the nicest appliance I have ever owned. It has instantly taken my kitchen from just okay to WOW. The black stainless finish with the fingerprint resistant feature makes it a showstopper! I am in love with the in-door water dispenser. It tastes great and is super cold! My entire family suddenly has increased their water intake. The ice maker is a particular favorite of mine, this is the first fridge that I’ve owned that has one. I love that I can choose cubed or crushed with the press of a button. Onto the refrigerator itself, there are so many shelves! The door holds gallons of milk and all the condiments you could ever need. The one feature I feel is missing here though is a lunchmeat drawer. It is something I’m used to and feel would improve the functionality of this appliance. The drawers it does come with though are large and spacious. The vegetable drawer holds an entire bunch of celery without bending it. The fruit drawer is extra deep too. The freezer is just as large, keeps everything super cold and is easy to find what I’m looking for. Overall excellent appliance.

per the samsung rep, this makes 120 ice cubes/ day, thats 5 ice cube per/hr. so the storage capacity is small. the ice dispenser lags, need to give it breaks in between filling up an 8oz cup. the fingerprint resistance dont work, even after washing your hands. save your money and get a regular fridge. we decided on this fridge ,because of how sleek it looked and the fingerprint resistant. we bought a samsung washer and dryer,on the same day as the fridge. hopefully the washer and dryer features, it says it has, actually exist. there was no incentive to buy all samsung. we chose samsung because we assumed the appliances would be like the samsung phone technology,exceptional features and quality

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The location where we have to put our refrigerator is difficult to have a side-by-side with handles on it. I love the fact that this is a handleless door, and it is very spacious inside. There isn’t wasted space, with all sorts of drawers and compartments. I can easily see everything inside my refrigerator without having to search through drawers.

Good refrigerator. Ice maker is too small. The water dispenser is ridiculous! You have to either have a super wide mouth glass/cup to catch the water as it comes out of the dispenser. No way to know this at the store without a water hookup. You have to hold the glass out away from the back and push the dispenser area with your hand. There's no built in lighting mechanism to show you how full your glass is in the dark! I purchased two battery powered door key illuminators with double faced tape and stuck them up on the sides of the dispenser. They look like they belong there and work better than nothing. Cubed ice comes out basically crushed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this a couple of years ago and I am pretty happy. The only thing wrong with it is I can't get the water filter to restart. I changed it and held the button for 3 seconds and nothing. Not a major issue. I like that it keeps my food really cold in the fridge which in turns keeps my food a little longer. It can get irritating when I leave the door open and it starts dinging for me to close it. This is beneficial as I have forgotten to close it and walked to another part of the house and heard its terrible sound which made me check. I am a life long Samsung user and I am very happy. If you are looking for a basic fridge with ice maker and water than this is for you. I love it and don't need all the bells and whistles.

the ice maker on this model was absolutely the slowest when new (twice daily). slowly became worse and has finally stopped. it will fill and freeze but just stop dropping. a counter top ice maker will be less expensive than a service call and i can't find a schematic online.

nohin like a new refrigerator that we cant get the ice to dispense. makes great ice but had to call samsung for repair. repair service was wonderful. they are going,to,order a new door which should fix the issue. once the ice dispenses, we will be totally satisfied.

modern design. plenty of cooling space with various shelves, drawers and bins. filtered water with cubed and crushed ice works fine. i like that there are no handles on the doors...gives it a sleek look. digital temperature control. fingerprint resistant stainless steel.

the first criteria i had was storage capacity, followed closely by price. storage capacity is huge, with the perfect balance of square footage between the fridge & freezer. side-beside refrigerators are no longer so popular, but are a far more efficient use of space, especially in the freezer vs the pull-out drawer type, which waste a ton of space accommodating sliding drawers etc. samsung's stainless steel finish has a richness & depth to it that no other brand comes close to, & this combined with this appliances design aesthetic made it a simple choice for me. pro's huge capacity simple, elegant design door mounted ice maker deep freeze setting -8°f excellent interior lighting cold air circulation con's needs 1 more shelf in fridge no lighting over ice/water dispenser
