Good Rice and Good Price

My wife is Thai and my favorite rice for the last 20 years has been Jasmine rice...this is sadly a big bag of regular white rice, there is no pleasant Jasmine smell, and it easily under or over cooks as if I haven't made rice 2-3 times a week for last 20 years. After five failed attempts to make ok rice, I've arrived at this technique: rinse rice three times, then mix slightly more than 1 to 1 on the water side with hot water, say 1 to 1.2 rice to water. This will give decent texture consistent throughout, and although bland like Uncle Ben's microwaved rice, it does well barried under most sauces heavy on the garlic side.

Not Jasmine rice

This jasmine rice is dangerously good for something so affordable. It cooks up fluffy, fragrant, and suspiciously close to restaurant quality. Sam’s Club pricing seals the deal—it’s basically “fine dining" in a bulk package. High quality, fair price, and now officially responsible for me eating way more rice than I should admit.
