August 15th 2024 Smells Different than the last 50lb bag I bought, it has a very strong odor very noticeable when I open the bag and the texture is diffrent as well when cooked. Anyone else have this? Did they use a new chemical on this?

I was suprised at how good this rice was. I knew the basamati SAMS club sold was good but i dint expect the jasmine to be this good. At this price its probably the best non enriched rice you can get priced per pound. 10/10 will purchase again

I’ve been buying this rice for a couple of years now. Will continue to purchase for many years. As you all know, for Asian family’s, RICE is LiFE lol. Sam’s has the best price good quality jasmine rice. Would recommend.

I bought this because my store was out of Basmati and I normally love jasmine rice. This is way too sticky! I used 1.25 cups of liquid to 1 cup of rice which typically yields a nice loose texture. Instead this cooked into a gloopy texture and lacks the quintessential jasmine flavor. I believe this is fake!

I thought nothing of the new bag,however, the rice is not the same. We have purchased the members mark jasmine rice for years. We know how to cook it. However, since the new bag the rice seems to be sticky like sushi rice than jasmine. Maybe is a bad batch.

Just bought this recently. It wasn’t same quality as it used to. It’s less white and not as fragrant as before. Once cooked, it has a smell like it’s an old rice and consistency of a long grain regular rice. The distinct smell of jasmine is not there. Quality went down.

We really like Member's Mark Thai Jasmine Rice. The rice cook perfectly and taste wonderful. It has a very nice fragrance like Jasmine rice suppose to have, and it has the green seal from Thai Department of Foreign Trade for authentic Thai Hom Mali Rice. Sam's price is unbeatable!

My family loves Jasmine rice! Run your fingers through the grains and you can feel its smoothness. This rice cooks very well in an electric rice cooker. Always measure the rice with the cup that came with the rice cooker. I wash the rice 4-5 times and use filtered water on the fifth wash, saving that rice wash water in a pot to make soup. Then I add filtered water again to the rice, using the graduated marks inside the rice cooker to measure the water. So for 5 cups of jasmine rice, I add 5 cups of water. Should you find this too soft, lessen the water to 4 1/2 cups. Save leftover cooked rice in portion sizes in the fridge; they keep well for about 4-5 days. “Old” is great to make fried rice, too.

I'm so satisfied with the taste and quality of this Jasmine rice.
