Nice Shed for the money

I am an advanced do it yourself homeowner. I found the instructions to be extremely detailed. The shed was packaged nicely and had every required nut and bolt required and them some! The shed will take 8 to 9 hours to build from scratch. I can't stress enough that it is imperative to have a level platform. Once it is all together it is a very solid shed. I recommend assembling the roof joists and door hardware if you have some down time before starting the whole project.

No customer support through email. I'll be calling

I am missing parts and one of the metal roof truss punched holes are not punched. Emailed Customer support pics and details of my issue May 26th, no response as of 6/1. Overall this was easy to build following both the BILT app and paper instructions included in the box. Picking it up from Sams requires at least 3 people. It comes in 2 boxes, 274# . and 212#. It fit my 2007 Frontier crewcab with 5' bed, but had to keep tailgate down. Minimum 2 person build. Make sure floor is flat and you have all the tools the BILT apps states. I would give this a 5 star if i got a response from customer support!

Very Nice SHED - need to be patient and READ

I downloaded the instructions and put it into a binder...I then reviewed and highlighted every page in the book. My wife and I put this shed up with some problems but none that were overwhelming. AS LONG AS YOU SQUARE YOUR SHED BASE YOU SHOULD BE FINE. I can imagine a ton of problems especially the doors not working too well if you don't. I had no problems with the doors at all. I put a stone base down then built a wooden platform as per the instructions. If I bought this same size shed and it was wood it would of cost thousands more! The only thing I did to improve the waterproofing on the base was to get coil stock (what you put around you house windows) and put on the exposed wood base so I now don't have to worry about water seeping in under the shed floor. My only option was to build my own shed since there was no way to have one delivered as I live on a steep hill with no access for a delivered shed. You can see what i did in my pic

Not 100% satisfied

I bought this shed online without seeing it in person. Nice looking shed, But not 100% satisfied with this purchase. You NEED a platform or a VERY level surface! The floor is not sturdy at all and it needs a hard surface underneath it to make the shed usable. The doors will never line up properly and the floor will never be level. Even after I built a wood platform, with a level wood platform, I still had trouble with the doors aligning properly. They must be shimmed to get them right. Also had to install weatherstrip around the doors to keep water from getting into the shed. All of this equals extra cost and frustration. I wish I would have known this prior to buying and spent 8 hours putting it together. I ended up moving the shed off it is paver surface which I had a plastic shed similar to this one on top of for 20 years and never had an issue with it! I built a new wood platform. Also I wish it came with more hooks and another shelf. Not what I was expecting.

Nice at first

I have had this for about 3 years on a concrete foundation, southern ca so temperate. I have noticed the walls where screws are attached have warped and now screw and plastic around the screws look to be ‘peeling' or ripping off. For the cost, I would not expect this item to have been affected by our weather. Should have bought wood.

Great shed, assembly a little more difficult than expected.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased the shed about a month ago and just got round to building it at the weekend. We built on top of a wooden base, all square and level. Whilst most of the shed went together nicely, it took three adults to try and get the gable above the door to sit in the truss. We would get one side in and the other would pop out. Once we finally got it balanced, we continued and the side would pop out of the truss again. This was the most time consuming and agitating part of the build. Checking everything was square and level throughout we couldn't figure out what was going on. However we managed to connect everything else together and whilst it's all solid, there was one screw that just wouldn't fit in to hold the front of the roof into the truss, the same area we were having trouble with at the door. The roof at this location was about 1/3 of an inch off the truss and no amount of pressure applied was bringing it into place. I feel the front gable needs to be able to be screwed into the side trusses directly rather than into the centre truss by a single screw - this would allow everything to sit flush and minimize mallet useage! We also had one segment right in the middle of the roof where three pieces of roof meet each other and the screw advised to be used was too short and couldn't bite onto the third piece well enough. Luckily tightening surrounding areas sealed it, but I'm going to have to use an adhesive to keep that sealed. Also the screws for the end gables that attach part AFE were too short - every time we picked up the gable to use it they would all fall out. We couldn't put them in any further. Ultimately I think the side gables and the front gable need a little more structure to keep them solid and allow them to connect to the rest of the shed easier. All that said and done, the product is great so far. It looks great and the YouTube video tutorials really do help with the construction of things. My negative point that could do with work is: a couple of extra tabs to hold things in place in would've saved hours of headaches

Plastic Warped and Difficult to Build

We are currently disassembling to return back to Sam's as it has only been 3 weeks. The directions are barely adequate. Some of the plastic is warped and/or the holes for the screws haven't been punched through all the way. We live where there is a nice breeze and I don't think this would hold up in strong wind. We should have listened to some of the feedback we read that talked about the warping and poor manufacturing and difficult directions. We will build something with wood and metal.

Awesome Shed

Didn't want to spend $4k+ on a wooden shed so waited until this one became available and when it did it was delivered pretty quickly. Was able to build the entire thing solo. Assembled most of the steps in the garage and stacked them up until was ready to move onto the floor. This took about 4-5 days working about 1-2 hours or so a day. Had a nice level pad in my yard, put a few concrete screws in the floor which held it down nicely. Took about 4 hours to put up the walls and roof. Directions were clear and everything was labeled nicely. Plenty of space inside the shed, shelves and hooks are a plus. No complaints at all so far. Would definitely recommend.

Great Experience!

It could have been more clear that there MUST be either a concrete or framed & decked platform for this shed, but having expressed that, we were VERY careful to build our platform level and believe that the ease of overall installation and level doors was as a direct result of our up front obeying the encouragement to build the platform level. There were a couple of tricky parts, but overall the instructions were clear and the installation went well taking me and my son about 6 hours for the 8'X10' shed (not including building the platform).

Pricing all over the plact

I tried to buy this shed from Sam's local club last year, they did not have any and not taking orders. Price was just under $1100. They told me to go online and order....out of stock and not taking orders....told to wait till 2022. I did check back with local store, but none in stock, told to order on line.....they had 4, but price is now $1600! I went ahead and bought one on March 21, 2022...delivery set for April 14th. It arrived April 7th. Got shed put together this week as, too cold to work outside last week. I did it by myself (at 73), took me 18 hours. My brother wanted one also, but again out of stock...and price is now $799 on line. Went to local store and call Sam's member service and no one can tell me why the price difference from last year or what the price is now nor when a shed will be available!!!!
