Great Experience!
It could have been more clear that there MUST be either a concrete or framed & decked platform for this shed, but having expressed that, we were VERY careful to build our platform level and believe that the ease of overall installation and level doors was as a direct result of our up front obeying the encouragement to build the platform level. There were a couple of tricky parts, but overall the instructions were clear and the installation went well taking me and my son about 6 hours for the 8'X10' shed (not including building the platform).
NEVER AGAIN
I will never buy another plastic shed. Putting it together was supposed to be easy according to the video. Not one piece had an identifier/part number on it, although the paper instructions list the part number. As a result, you didn't know if you had the right hardware or the right piece. The roof was a nightmare. It didn't line up and you couldn't muscle it in place. The screws very often didn't work to connect the piece in place. One of the skylights had a piece broken that you put the screw in, so one side was loose. We had to put silicone chalking around the skylight/hole to make sure it wouldn't leak. Even though the pieces were not marked, most of it went well until the roof. The floor and body of the shed went well enough to have that portion done in about three hours. The roof alone took more time than the entire shed. The snow braces/supports needed to have the holes drilled before I could put the screw in. It was too hard otherwise. Wood sheds are the way to go.
We apologize about the frustration with the assembly of your new shed. We do have several assembly help options available if you run into questions, including; YouTube video tutorials, the BILT app, as well as our customer service department is always a great resource. They can be reached at 800-225-3865 or by email at customercare@lifetime.com. Customer service hours are Monday-Friday, 7:00 am to 5:00 pm (MT).
Awesome Shed
Didn't want to spend $4k+ on a wooden shed so waited until this one became available and when it did it was delivered pretty quickly. Was able to build the entire thing solo. Assembled most of the steps in the garage and stacked them up until was ready to move onto the floor. This took about 4-5 days working about 1-2 hours or so a day. Had a nice level pad in my yard, put a few concrete screws in the floor which held it down nicely. Took about 4 hours to put up the walls and roof. Directions were clear and everything was labeled nicely. Plenty of space inside the shed, shelves and hooks are a plus. No complaints at all so far. Would definitely recommend.
Pricing all over the plact
I tried to buy this shed from Sam's local club last year, they did not have any and not taking orders. Price was just under $1100. They told me to go online and order....out of stock and not taking orders....told to wait till 2022. I did check back with local store, but none in stock, told to order on line.....they had 4, but price is now $1600! I went ahead and bought one on March 21, 2022...delivery set for April 14th. It arrived April 7th. Got shed put together this week as, too cold to work outside last week. I did it by myself (at 73), took me 18 hours. My brother wanted one also, but again out of stock...and price is now $799 on line. Went to local store and call Sam's member service and no one can tell me why the price difference from last year or what the price is now nor when a shed will be available!!!!
Prices can vary depending on seasons, inventory, and any promotional offers. We suggest you contact the seller for pricing specific questions.
not what you think
I'm not sure where to start! When I first bought this, I didn't realize that there was so much more that you have to buy. I know it sounds stupid. I bought the 8 x 10 structure floor frame as I didn't want to deal with the mess of cement. Then I had to buy 3 sheets of treated plywood which isn't cheap. So I spent a small fortune! Now, putting it together!! The directions are the worse that I've seen in anything that I've bought!! It's like we had a different book with different letters and numbers to the parts!! It's crazy!! I had to go out and buy more long screws as we didn't have enough! Apparently I didn't spend enough!! Why don't you have your pieces marked?? I've never seen anything as bad as this. I did read the reviews. If you want to get to the bad reviews, you have to read many pages as all the 5 star ones are first! I do not recommend this to anyone!! I would not have bought this shed as it's not worth the money. I'm disabled and on a set income and what a waste! I had someone who did carpentry/construction over 40 years and he's never seen anything like this!! My neighbor thought of buying this one and said it was too much money. I was so stupid buying this LifeTime shed!! It better hold up for the lifetime!! I wish I could have returned it, but it's up, I am missing some parts to the door. I did read that some others had missing parts and said to myself, I hope that's not me??!! $1,700+ for this piece of building!! The price includes the 8 x 10 frame(paid over $500), the plywood and the other parts I had to buy!! When you send directions, 1)- put english in one part, spanish in another part. Not together where you have english with two other languages at the same time. 2)- Mark the pieces, put labels on them such as A1, B2, C3 etc. You show the part, but don't have it marked!! The boxes were marked, but the parts inside the box were not!! You had many bags of screws with letters that didn't correspond to what was written in the book/directions! It was like having a different book for the building?? I've bought many things that had to be put together and I never had an issue until I put this building!! My neighbor was smart as they didn't want to pay the price!! I wish I was!! I paid almost $1,600 for this. Yes it's sturdy, but it's not easy putting it together even when the flooring was level!!!!!! It would have been so much cheaper and made better if I had bought the material and had someone built it so much better!! People, read and read and read all of the reviews!!!! You should have a column with 1 star ratings, 2 star ratings, 3 star ratings, 4 star ratings and 5 star ratings!! I did try calling, but I was on hold forever. Tried calling back and they were closed!! Surprise!! Never ever will I buy anything from LifeTime again!!! If I don't have to assemble it, Maybe I would buy it!! I bought this back in June of this year, but because of a family emergency, I couldn't get anyone to put it together for me until now. Luckley the weather here was in the 60's and 70's. It took three people who have done construction and carpentry for many years!! If you really care about what customers say, start listening to them!! I wish I hadn't bought this knowing what I know now!! I do not recommend anyone buying this shed or any other ones. It's a big waste of money especially for some!! I was going to write the review on my phone, but it's not on my purchase history at Sam's Club as I bought it in the store??The frame is on there, but I bought it online. I wanted to put pictures up, but I can't.
We are so sorry that you have not had a good experience and we would love a chance to make this right. Please email us at reviews@lifetime.com with your order and contact information so we can help.

Shed
Sturdy
Nice Shed for the money
I am an advanced do it yourself homeowner. I found the instructions to be extremely detailed. The shed was packaged nicely and had every required nut and bolt required and them some! The shed will take 8 to 9 hours to build from scratch. I can't stress enough that it is imperative to have a level platform. Once it is all together it is a very solid shed. I recommend assembling the roof joists and door hardware if you have some down time before starting the whole project.
Looks Nice BUT......
I purchased this to store holiday decoration but after completing the shed build I decided to to do a leak test by simulating rain with a garden hose with spray head. Water ran from the roof and down the front walls and under the bottom of the wall and inside on top of the floors. Called Lifetime customer service and they told me that the shed is not waterproof but water resistant. So I would not recommend this if you want to keep things dry inside.
Our Shed products are weather resistant, but not water tight or water proof. Water can get between the seams of the roof panels which is then collected by the truss channel and drained outside the shed.
Discrepancies in description but otherwise decent
Windows do NOT open as described. They are solid panes. Flooring "bubbles" a bit in the heat, had to replace about half of the screws with self tapping screws to put the walls/roof together as the ones that came with it didn't work well. Otherwise, shed is decent. Suits the purpose, so no other complaints at this time.
Great shed and well worth the dollars
I bought this shed last week. I was a little apprehensive since there were numerous comments about the directions and some questioned the other aspects. Here is the bottom line. Make a level, square foundation and it goes to together in 8 hours. I will admit this is not for the mechanical challenged. It does take some common sense in some areas, since the detail on the drawings are vague in places. However, do not get frustrated since it goes together like the old erector sets... Fun to build and it would take a hurricane of great magnitude to knock this thing down... I would not hesitate to get another or recommend this product. I had enough screws left over to open a hardware store, and every item was in the box and packaged well. If this is the type shed you are looking for, buy it, you'll love it. Oh, and it blends in perfectly in our yard.
