Fabulous Tires, Especially in Wet Weather.

The absolute best tires I’ve ever owned, and I’ve owned all of the top brands. I don’t know why so many folks have rated these tires low. This is my second review of these tires, and the other review I only had 5k miles on them. Now, I’ve put 60k on them, still have amazing tread left, and they grip the road very well. I live in New England, and use these Premiers year round. They are more than adequate in the snow, and are seriously beasts in heavy rain. No hydroplaning whatsoever, even at 60k. I think that I have another 10k left.

Short Life Span

I only have approximately 17, 700 miles on these Premier LTX tires. The mechanic doing my regular maintenance red flagged all 4 tires. Why do 60K mile tires last for less than 20K miles. I do live in a rural town and have to drive a ways to get to the stores but I’m not doing any four wheeling in my Acadia. They have been on my car less than 2 years.

Best Life Span use

These came on my used 2018 Crv. They were put on within 1000miles of me buying it. I have literally gotten 55k miles out of them and prolly do have about 5-7k miles left of wear. They were off the chains for the whole year. Never did I question their reliability. Had a smooth ride and didnt I repeat, DID NOT have any issues shredding tread or short life. Maybe because my car has a great alignment and I dont drive like a race car driver but dont drive like gramama either. You just dont step on the gas like a crazy person or slam the brakes cause you arent paying attention. The few times I may have they gripped well. Would recommend and will be buying more if the quality stays the same

Dealer says need to replace

Bought a Cadillac XT5 with 33K KMs on these tires, now has 55K. Dealer says they need to be replaced. Almost at the safety tread marker. I've had Michelin in the past (Primacy MXV4) and they were fantastic tires.....not so much with these. Looking at other brands now.

5 Star performance. --- LOW TREADLIFE

I bought these tires for the exceptional handling in both wet and dry conditions. Probably the best cornering traction of any all season SUV tire produced. Im no expert, but I DRIVE my vehicle. If you want to grab a corner, stick it, and enjoy your drive, these will satisfy. I think Michelin needs to reduce the expected treadlife of these tires, because they do not last as advertised. We will see if they care. Rather

Poor tread life

It has to be the worst tread life of any Michelin tire that I have bought over the last 45 years. I am very disappointed in the longevity of the tire. Anyone who has purchased this should get a new set of tires from Michelin to replace the poorly designed tread life tire.

Don't Do It!

these came on my brand new Jeep Grand Cherokee thought I was getting good tires.. my Jeep currently has 33,000kms. I have had it for 2 winters and 1 summer, I have another set of tires on rims that I swap out every winter so maybe these summer tires have 15,000kms on them and they are toast! These are rated for 100,000 and we certainly are not getting that! Very disappointed I need to buy new tires already they certainly will not be Michelins!

Poor Treadwear

I just had my 30,000 mile inspection at the dealer where I purchased the vehicle. All service to date on the vehicle & tires has been at the Dealer. I was very disappointed to learn that my tires Michelin Premier LTX (at 30,000 miles) needed to be replaced. My tread depth was down to 1/32 on two of the tires & 2/32 on the other two. I have had many sets of Michelin tires over the years but this seemed much too premature, based on the vehicle miles.

Great tires except for the wear factor

These are great tires, I've had two sets and I'm on my third. They are incredible in rain and I've never been stuck in snow. The problem is wear. I've never been able to get more than 40,000 on a set, even though they are listed as 60,000 mile tires. It's not clear how Michelin rates these.

Disappointed in Michelin and their Premier LTX tires

Purchased a new 2021 Lexus RX 350 in 2021 with OEM Michelin Premier LTX. At 29,000 miles on the car and tires, the tires are so chipped and chunked on the front tthat we are concerned about driving any further. I know for a fact this car has never been in gravel, never hit curb, never been on rough roads, never driven hard, never been in an accident, tires have been rotated a couple times, air pressure always monitored and yet these tires are trash at this point. Michelin knows there is a problem with these tires yet, they don’t take any proactive measures to prevent the unsafe conditions these tires could cause. Mechanic said the tires must be replaced now and would not recommend driving faster than 35 mph due to the further disintegration of these tires until replaced. What michelin does not want you to know is the problem is entirely due to the compounds and manufacturing of the tires. There is nothing wrong with your car…just look at all the other complaints on this site and other well known consumer complaint sites. Michelin-I don’t want your mileage credit as I won’t buy Michelin tires ever again.
