Don't buy these tires.

These came on my Lexus RX450h and have been rotated twice the car has 12500 miles and the tread is already down to 4/32nd. These will be lucky to make it to 20k before they have to be replaced. I have Michelin Defenderson my Prius and they have 50k on them and still have 6/32 on them.

Good Tire - Poor tread Life

After researching tires and reading reviews, my wife and I settled on the Premier AS tire for our a Honda Pilot. The reviews of the tire were overall positive with ride and tread life being mentioned in a positive light. After owning the tires for 2 and a half years, the treads are down to 4 and 5 thirty seconds on all the tires. We have liked the tire in regards to traction and ride but 49,000 kilometres is unacceptable for wear on an renowned tire brand especially as almost 100 percent is pavement driving. I see from all the reviews, that we are not alone in our dissatisfaction of the Premier AS wear of the tire. It is unfortunate as all other facets of the tire are excellent, and hopefully Michelin will do something to rectify the situation in my case and make alterations to the compound in the future as this is not unique to just myself.

Has Michelin lost its way?

I’ve always believed Michelin tires to be the go to tire for me. However my 2019 Cadillac XT5 has Michelin Premier LTX tires that need replacing after only 24500 miles. The wear pattern is consistent on all four tires at 3/32 . We have always done tire rotations and all recommended services. These tires are 60,000 mile rated and didn’t make it even half way. The dealer is recommending other brands for us to purchase but it’s a big spend that I shouldn’t have to make yet.. I am hoping that Michelin hasn’t lost its way with quality and public confidence. Still trying to determine what brand to purchase before winter comes or should I give Michelin another chance.

Surprise feature not welcome

Bought these to replace same size tires from a 2nd string manufacturer. OEM tires had NOT been rotated and were SHOT at 35000 miles. Kumhos lasted nearly 40,000, were rotated regularly and would have gone longer except the tread was right at the wear bars and the rainy season was a month away. Now? to find out, the Michelin tire, which was supposed to be a 'premium' tire came with 8.5 32s of tread depth. Not 11/32 or even 10/32. 8.5 At a recent oil change the dealer informed me I had 7/32s remaining. Quite a shock considering I haven't even had the FIRST rotation yet. That's almost 30% of the useful tread in <5000 miles. Recommending such a High Dollar tire would be difficult for me. I rather doubt, based on first tread depth measure that this tire will last any better than the Other Guy which was 5/8 the price. I got better wear out of the Michelin tires on my S2000 which I Expected to go quickly given dedicated front / rear sizing and the nature of the beast.

Disappointing

I purchased a ‘17 GMC Acadia new, with Michelin Premier LTX tires. The car only has 23000 miles on it and the tires need replaced already. I have had them rotated as recommended, yet still are worn where I don’t feel safe on the road when it rains, and especially in the winter.

Less Than 1/3 of Mileage Warranty

I've been a loyal Michelin tire customer, for many years for both my wife's SUV and my cars too. Nevertheless, I'm disappointed with Premier LTX's 100,000km/6 years mileage warranty. Even though, these 235/55R19 tires for my 2011 Lexus RX 350 were properly inflated, well maintained and promptly rotated at regular intervals of 10,000kms; I have to replace them after 28,700km which is only less than 29% of the mileage warranty. Although they offer quiet ride and good traction even on snowy road, I expected excellence from Michelin. I'm a responsible mild mannered middle aged driver who does not spin the wheels with jerky start or sudden acceleration, nor do I take sharp corners at high speed. Therefore, there's no sign of uneven wear on these tires and the tire pressure is regulated by Lexus' sensitive electronic tire pressure sensors, as well.

Great tire but horrible treadware

I only got to 33,000 mi before it got down to the tread wear indicator. I took it in to see about the warranty and they told me that the tires lasted until 1/32 of an inch even though it is down to the tread wear indicator. I am already having standing water issues and they want you to drive it until bald. 60000 ain't happening.

Not happy with these tires

Purchased these tires for my Acura MDX, had approx 118 000 kms when they installed them, we only do about 10 000 kms per year and we also have a set of winter rims and tires that we use for 4-5 months per year. We now have 155000 kms on the MDX and the tires are worn out and will not pass the next safety, they are worn out evenly and no scalloping or anything. I would say I only got about 30 000 kms out of these tires and they are advertised for 100 000 kms warranty. This is not acceptable and have been trying to get some warranty out of them from the dealer now but it doesn' look like they can do anything. Will update once we get an answer.

Have had great experience with Michelin Premier LTX

On my second set of Michelin Premier LTX tires. Purchased them a second time because the first set rode well, lasted a long time, worked very well on my 09 Infiniti EX35 with rear wheel drive. Ive read the complaints, simply not my experience. For me, they are great tires!

OUTSTANDING TIRE

I just purchased these for my 2012 Lexus RX-350. I had 40,000 miles on the original equipment tires, with a tread depth of 3/32 inch. After a lot of research, I decided on the Michelin Premiere LTX. As soon as I drove away on my new tires, I was amazed at the difference in ride quality. I really believe it drives better now than when I bought it brand new! I especially like the wide grooves on the Premiere LTX. Living in Florida, we get a lot of rain; previous reviews showed how great the wet traction is, so I'm looking forward to testing this out as well. I highly recommend this tire!
