Survived a wind storm after flipping over

We've had this playset since 2017 and it survived a move to a new house and a wind storm that picked it up and fliped it over our fence into our neighbor's yard. I would suggest buying straps and strapping it down (which we have done now). The only thing I'd like to add is I wish i could find another bar to add onto the end so we can accommodate more kids and types of swings. We didn't anticipate wanting a longer arm in 2017 but now that my kids are older and have friends over it would be nice to have an expansion kit.

3 days after assembled

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Suggestions (not to discourage but to share my thoughts): 1) Make sure you personally check every screw and bolt. Though I had paid installers from the company and tipped well and had a close relationship during the 2 days the three guys assembled, and even though I asked multiple times if they tightened after I found that the climbing parts were loose and had them tighten, the next day when I went to apply a sealant rust inhibitor to each bolt and screw, I discovered, and had to tighten, maybe 20 of the loose bolts and screws and am waiting for missing bolts. Note that many require two persons to tighten; 2) The slide should have a cover as it is unusable during daylight due to becoming hot. There are some third-party covers sold but Lifetime should make them available, at least as an option; 3) I bough a separate baby seat swing. Lifetime should make them available as an alternative to one of the seats; 4) the chalkboard may not really be a chalkboard; 5) the ladder is dangerously slippery and the spread is too great between the rungs. Lifetime should make them with a middle pole, smaller gaps, or provide, at least as an option, a webbing attachment (similar to one in a commentators' photograph); and, 6) would be nice to have more options (you know, telescope, blinds to keep sun out, solar light, etc. that would fit as most third party accessories are for wood swing sets). I also put rubber edging and tons or rubber mulch (the combination costing more than the swing set). Would be nice for lifetime to make them available as options so that they can be shipped with the swing set and installed by the assemblers. Hope that the rust issue has been corrected in current models as we expect a full 10 years of use.

nice playground but some problems

Have this playground and the chains on the swings already show rust and the steering wheel already came off. Im sure I can find some hardware for that though. Then yesterday we had a storm come through that trashed my trampoline but it pulled on the playground set enough that my ladder bent out of shape. Good thing the tie down straps were on it that come with the set when you buy it. Now have to find out how to use the warranty to try to get some of this fixed.

Love this playset but rusted quickly

We love this playset but started rusting after a few months. It is two years old now and rust has taken over. Paying a little extra for stainless hardware would have made this a 5 star review. Unlike most playset, this is big enough for older kids, built sturdy, and super fun. A simple fix could give you a good 10 years out of set.

My kids and me love this!!!

We bought this Play set this past spring. I was looking for a playset that would not give my kids slivers and would have as little maintenance as possible. And yet is great quality. This is perfect! We love it! It doesn't get hot in the sun and burn my kids. And the warranty is awesome too.

Goodtimes!

We are very happy with the play center. The only downfall to the play center is the ladder. Smaller children have a hard time with the ladder at the top step, it has a long reach for kids to grab the handles which they tend to fall through the last step. On the A Frame set the trapeze bar comes with handles and the bar that would be nicer for the kids to reach. You can buy them separate for $50.

Great playset

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this playset for a year and it has been great. The quality is better than other playsets we looked at. The only problem I've seen is with the age of my kids, they are 3 and 2. My 3 year old just recently figure out how to climb the ladder and my 2 year old still has trouble once she gets to the top. The transition from the ladder to the top is a little far for small kids so be careful. I am hoping to find a different ladder to put on until my kids and nephews ads a little older.

Thank you for addressing this issue. We had other similar feedback from customers and have updated the ladder so it sits as close as ASTM standards will allow (about 2" closer).

Every brace rusted out!

We just hit the 5 yr on this play set but we noticed last fall every brace under supporting the top section has completely rusted out. It is now unsafe for the grand kids to play on plus there is constantly pieces of rust falling off making it unsafe for them running around barefoot. I have not been able to get any help from the company, I would like new braces sent to us to replace them.

Dangerous for small childeren

The Good: Instructions are excellent. Construction seems very solid. Kids from 4 to 12 seem to have a great time playing on it. The BAD: I bought this playset for my 4 year old. She abosolutely loves it! Unfortunately there is no real safe way for her to get onto the landing to go down the slide or play with the steering wheel. The spacing of the grips on the rock walls and location of the grab bars at the top is too far apart for someone 3 foot 6 inches tall. The ladder arcs over and is horizontal right at the top. The spacing of the rungs and grab bars is such that she can fall thru very easily. To get to the platform she has to put herself in a very akward position basically pulling her knee to her chin to reach the last rung without hitting her head on the rail around the landing. If the ladder was more of a regular ladder, or the rungs were closer together, I'd give it 5 stars. I would not recommend for kids under 5.

Thanks for the detailed review. We are currently looking into this issue with our quality team. We value our customer feedback and want to make sure the products you are using are safe and fun. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to call or email us for further info. **Update** ASTM is an independent organization that helps to create safety specifications for Residential Playground Equipment and dictates spacing allowed on play features such as the arched climber. This Swing Set complies with that spacing specification. That being said, we do listen to our customers and value your feedback. We have updated the play set top rung to deck spacing to approximately 9 ½ inches to help make this transition easier for smaller children and still remain ASTM compliant.
