Yup... that's pretty much sums it up. Its a really nice phone. I had the S7 Active and I liked it well enough. Samsung has really pulled out the stops on this phone. They have finally fixed their horrible TouchWhiz of the past to what is now a very subtle addition to the stock Android OS. The camera is about the same as the S7. I don't use the Front facing one so can't tell you if its any good. The screen is amazing! With it curving around and not having to look at the bezel - video really seems to look really good on it! My downside to the device? It's too thin. I had to add a case on it otherwise I always felt it was going to fall out of my hand while holding it. It just doesn't feel all that great holding onto it without a case. The other features like the side pop out and Bixby are gimmicky and I'll probably never use them. I just wish that we could turn those features. Battery life is pretty good. The S7 seemed a bit better though. Overall if your looking for a new device? I'd pull the trigger and go ahead and get one.

I love almost everything about this phone. The only "con" I have is that the Bixby button is really sensitive and turns on all the time when I accidentally hit it. There may be a way to change that but I haven't found it yet. Overall, a great phone I will try to keep for many years!

I've been trying this voice bixby app to work since I bought it, first it was it needed an update, then it was released and since it was, been trying to make this work. NO matter what do I do, it doesnt work, keeps telling me that I need to update the software and when I do, bummmmm, it says the software is up to date, so no Bixby. Otherwise, think I would like better my old S7+

This phone is great easy to use Fast Love the camera and a picture I traded in iphone seven and I can't believe how much easier this one is to use than that iphone seven was without all the hassles and passwords and everything you need to make us an apple work I just love this phone my husband got one too he got the bigger one and he loves his just as much as I as I do we are very pleased with this product and kudos to samsung

I've had my new S8 for a few months now and all of a sudden I am getting a "moisture detected in charging port" message and it's annoying as all get out. Referring to community support there are 12 PAGES of this same complaint. I've tried all the suggestions to no avail. Thank God I have a wireless charger ...but I have to take that with me when we travel and use that in the vehicle and considering so many people have shelled out hundreds and hundreds of dollars and are getting this same message it's very very disappointing. It's obviously a software issue so hopefully Samsung will track it down and create a fix. Other that the above very bothersome 'non-charging via standard usb cable' problem I do like the phone.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have absolutely loved this Galaxy S8 since I've gotten it. It takes great pictures, and has visible keyboards, and just about everything about the phone I honestly love. I mean the signal could be better but that's not all the phones fault.

I am sad to say I came back to Samsung & bought a S8, the battery doesn't last very long, the edge screen is so annoying. I have gone through 4 screen protectors because none of them work well with the edge. And it's annoying to use when you're trying to play games. Bixby is just junk. Get rid of It!

I like the Samsung Galaxy S8, but find it very frustrating. First the button for Bixby is in the absolute worst location, so each time I pick up the phone it launches Bixby. Additionally, Samsung pushes so many intrusive advertisements that I have not only disabled Bixby, I am ready to switch to a different phone. Seriously Samsung, you need to send me a full screen ad while I am using navigation and it cancels the navigation and I have to start over?? If you like ads, please buy this phone, if not, you may want to buy another phone.

I got the orchid gray, which I did not think that I would. The picture does not look anything like what the color really looks like. It is a lovely color. The phone itself is stunning. The quality of the screen is beyond what I thought was possible. I am not a super techy person but I can tell you that the phone is super fast. Issues I read about like the finger print scanner being difficult to use are a non issue as far as I am concerned. It is easy to access and is easy to use.I love that the phone is a little more narrow than the s7 because getting my hand around it is much easier, so one handed use is no longer frustrating. I also think the non physical home buttons aren't a problem either. I thought maybe I would have a problem with that but I didn't at all. Overall a great phone (so far). I would highly recommend it, especially while att has the trade in for 200.00. Made the phone way less expensive.

Ordered the phone and very disappointed. So like the home screen clock and no option to change it.. did not like Bixby... and when I finally set the whole phone up I just slipped it into my front pocket and walked from the kitchen to living room and took it out.. didn't even sit down with in the pocket and the upper left corner was cracked. Returning it. Staying with my galaxy7
