The S8 was an easy choice going from the 7 Edge because they're approximately the same size. The screen is taller but narrow which allows a better hold & more to see. The biometric security features such as fingerprints, face recognition & iris scan are flawless & have no delay. The camera front & back deliver great pictures & video as well as have countless preloaded filters for your disposal. The Edge & split screen feature adds to my convenience as I'm sure it being waterproof will but my 8 won't be going in any water. The battery balances out even with it's performance. Overall I'm pleased & can say it's put together quite well.

Great Phone

This phone is awesome! I love the feel of it and the use. It is so simple. No complications. Set up was very easy. We bought two!

Samsung Galaxy S8

I bought 2 S8s and I'm satisfied with the phones themselves, and they were even a day early. I just didn't receive a tray for the sd card slot with one of them. I haven't contacted them about it yet so I'm sure it won't be a problem to have one sent to me, but we'll see.

Though I haven't been using it long I am happy with the performance.  I would prefer it to be somewhat smaller.  My last phone was a Samsung Galaxy 5 mini and I tried to go with something similar but this seemed to be as near the size of the mini without giving up too much performance.

I'm not sure what they were thinking with the newest system update but it is annoying & inconvenient. It moved a bunch of features around & removed some such as the clock at the top (it moved it to the left & won't let me move it back to the right), it doesnt let you select a picture/theme background for text messages, & although I turned off the send read notifications it asks me every single time I open a text message as to whether or not I want to turn it on! I'm a behavior therapist & if I have a client who is trying to hurt others or themself I don't have time to sit there & ponder whether or not I want to turn something on that I've already told it I dont want. 
The new large screen titles are also tedious & bothersome. 
I would only recommend this if they would fix these issues. Otherwise, I definitely wouldn't recommend it to those who work in the medical field.

Received the phone.  Was pleased with the price, the 2 day delivery, and the phone looked fine.  However, it didn't set up fine and turned out to be network locked, with no instructions for the phone in the box, nor information on how to unlock, or that it would be locked.  Of course, the phone number for the shipper had limited hours, so another 24 hours to access phone, which belies quick shipping.  Also, wouldn't read SIM Card, or transfer contacts, or recognize another Samsung Phone.  May be a dud, and I'm already into it for 4 hours.  Aggravating, GRRRRRRH.

Devil in the Details

The phone itself is nice and free from any scratches. However, the screen is just permanently burned with some other screen in the background. It constantly shows you a screen of what says bixby voice in the faded background even if you change your background. Highly disappointed and will be returning. This is my first time coming across this problem. My current phone is refurbished and never had this problem.
