New. S8

Well, I like the speed and picture quality and how this the phone is. I'm not thrilled with the curves, frustrated. Makes. It difficult to type and make corrections. I got locked out of accounts because of not able to use the keys. Correctly as they are on the curves.

Get insurance

Would be a 5 star 10/10 phone for sure if the screen was more durable. Slid out of my pocket 5 days after having it from about 3 feet above the ground, first time being dropped and the screen cracked instantly. No way this phone has guerilla glass. Other than that it is the best phone on the market. 3 months after getting it and I am still finding new features every day. Might be cracked but it is solid ✊

Samsung Galaxy S8

Great device, Camera, overall Happy with phone with all I do planning meetings, visits, paying bills over the phone, and internet made my life a bit more easier. Using Discord to chat to friends from W.O.W. and friends overseas works great. For an Android phone using apps for ringtones and wallpaper great as well. Google is awesome along with google reads.

Great phone, but you know...

SO, I like the phone, but it is hard to get super excited about it, seems about the same as always. I liked my BB Priv, and the S8 is perfectly fine, superb in fact, the only complaint I have is the electronic keyboard, it just doesn't respond like I would like, maybe it is just me though.

Great phone, but Thumbprint reader was a drawback

We got this phone for my husband. He really likes it, especially as a trade up from his J3, however it will get three stars from us purely because of the location of the thumbprint reader, which is very inconveniently placed on the back of the phone by the camera light. As someone that uses that feature pretty heavily, it was an extreme drawback for me that it is no longer on the front, and something I'm hoping they change on future models.

Easily the best phone I've ever owned

I absolutely love the design of this phone. The software runs flawlessly and the iris scanner hasn't failed me once. It was easy to set up and transfer my data from my iPhone 6S using the Smart Switch app. The cameras that it has equipped are the best I have ever had and I love taking selfies with it. The only complaint I have is how easy the screen scratches, I have had the phone for 3 days and it already has a bunch of tiny scratches on the screen. Other than that small dissatisfaction this phone is everything I could have hoped for and I can't wait for the Note 8 to come out. I give this product 4.75 stars.

Random caps and poor texting functionality

Bought the S8 in Aug '17. Have had a Galaxy Note 2 that I have loved since 2012. Was using an iPhone 8+ for work and kept thinking the Note 2, although 4 years older, was so much more intuitive than the iPhone. That led me to purchase an S8 to replace the hardware challenged Note 2 for personal use. BIG MISTAKE!!! Although the S8 has my cool features, the keyboard completely drops the ball. Random capitalization... Spellcheck making insane replacements, and the scrolling function is so bad that it's virtually useless. WIFI calling works very poorly and inconsistently. And the ininity screen edges means that virtually each time you touch your phone will have an impact on the screen or app. Hugely disappointed with the S8's performance compared to the iPhone 8's and beyond.

Dump your iPhone

Had an iPhone 5 and then a 6. Both sucked at running business apps (SalesForce1). Struggled with the iPhone 6 for 2 years. The day my contract with ATT was up and the phone paid for, I went to Sam's and bought the Galaxy S8+. I thought I would hate it for the first couple of weeks until I got back up to speed on an Android device. Not so. The Smart Transfer software in the S8 pulled all data, apps and email settings off the iphone in minutes. This phone is LIGHT YEARS ahead of Apple and it runs my business apps with lightning speed and reliability. My wife has an iPhone 7 and thinks it is OK but when I show her features on my S8, she just shakes her head. I can see the envy... Our #2 son was visiting last weekend. I showed him my S8. He played with it for about 30 minutes and afterward said, "I like this phone!. I am going to get one of these. It is so smooth and responsive compared to my iPhone 7." And there you have it folks, another convert and all he did was touch it.

Sleek and beautiful

The Galaxy S8 is one of the prettiest phones that I have ever seen before. The look and style of this phone is very appealing and looks beautiful. The os on the phone is almost just as beautiful. It is easy to use and makes life with your cellphone even easier. The phone is extremely secure with finger printing and an iris scanner. I highly recommend this phone to other users.

So far, so good

I have only been using a couple of weeks, so still feeling my way around. I am concerned that I have not yet found the protective accessories I want. Right now I have my silver phone in a black case (back and edges) with only a sheet of film protecting the front screen. This defeats the purpose of the edge technology. The right case is probably out there. Just haven't' found it yet.
