Left Samsung when I begrudgingly upgraded from a Note 4 to another company's phablet when the Note 7 had it's issues. Now I am thankfully back! Couldn't be happier. Great battery life. Beautiful display. Great new S Pen features. Short of a removable battery, I couldn't ask for more.

Phone is very fast and attractive. Camera is top notch and overall performance is really good, but design is something greatly overlooked by Samsung. Fingerprint sensor position is awkward, but what I am disappointed the most is the fact, that screen is extremely unprotected and fragile. Phone was wrapped with basic silicone case. My wife accidentally dropped it from barely 2 feet height and screen corner shattered in to peaces. She had her traded-in S5 with metal bezel and it was flying in apartment smashing to the wall few times and several times from 5 feet height and not even a scratch. Well, maybe just tiny one on a bezel. S9 has not changed from that perspective. I will buy A3 or even different manufacturer next time instead of galaxy series. Later one not worth the money.

I like the Microsoft phone OS and I had hoped they would be serious about smart phones, but after plodding along with my MS 950 for a year and a half, I gave up and made the leap to Android and the Samsung S8. Wow what a difference. This is one impressive phone. I had pre-ordered it and have had it several days now. Everything worked right out of the box. It is quick on all fronts...OS, connectivity, battery charging. A great display and easily customizable organization. And the battery easily lasts a full day with decent usage. So far I am very happy with it. The only complaint is that I feel I have to put a case on it. While it is a great form-factor, the back is slippery and video tests on YouTube show it to be breakable if dropped. That kind of hides the beauty and feel of the body. Oh well.

I used to absolutely love everything about this phone. Works great, fast, reliable. With the last update I want to throw it out the window every freaking time I use it. There are obtrusive ads at every turn, even when you are pausing to think what do I need to do next. If I ever get a new phone, it will be a freaking dumb flip phone. This last update has me infuriated that I spent this much money on a phone over which I have no control.

It was not as shiny as it was described. There wasn't a lot of bloatware, which I appreciate. Bixby is not as easy to use as it pretends to be. I would like the contact photos to fill at least half the screen when on the phone instead of the size of a nickel. I haven't found a huge use for the side panels yet. I'm thinking that it's not bad....just not great.

I've had my Galaxy S8 for five days, having just upgraded from the Note 4, which I loved. The phone's features, particularly the resolution, security, and ease of use, are remarkable, but I just noticed a small scratch on the screen. The phone is always facing up on my nightstand or is in a special pocket in my purse with no other items. My screen protector is coming in today, but I didn't imagine already getting a scratch. For a phone this high priced, the screen should not be so easily damaged. I have had phones for almost two years with no scratches. Thinking about returning.

Having the Galaxy s8 for a couple weeks now I can tell you the phone is better than I imagined. Its a lot faster than my s7 active was, it handles multi-tasking with ease and the screen is amazing. Dont let the battery size fool you. I can make it all day on a single charge with heavy usage. In short, buy it, you'll love Samsungs newest Galaxy.

I couldn't be happier with my new phone! Also happy with the fact that I ordered it online, with no problems, on a Monday morning, and it was delivered the NEXT day, before noon! I had been wanting it for a long time, so not having to wait weeks for it was AWESOME! I had the S5 before this, for over 3 years (with no complaints!) So I was due for a new one. I waited through the 6 and 7, because my 5 was so perfect it would have been stupid to buy one. But the 8 was just too awesome, and I had a family member who could use my old one. So, now that I've had this one and it's barely left my hands since May 2nd when the delivery man handed it to me, I am NOT disappointed. From the look, the feel AND the performance, it's just so awesome! I had no trouble with the set up and transferring all my stuff, and I've added apps and games, and the camera is amazing! Sorry, I don't know all the technical jargon. I just know I love this phone. The battery last all day, even with me playing games, reading books, listening to music, texting, taking photos etc. I'm still discovering things it can do, and love exploring it. Don't know what else I can say - it's awesome!

This replaced my S6 which I like alot. This is a far better phone, love the size and shape. The edges for my favorites is a great feature - use it all the time. Easy to set up and easy to use. The finger print scanner is in the back is a little awkward but getting used to it.

It's my very first smartphone. I did a lot of research before deciding what to get. It's better and easier to use that I expected. I love it and I trust Samsung products over any other (years of experience). The only issue: online Samsung tutorials aren't very clear, but the Forums are perfect to help with any questions you may have.
