Nice tire at a great price

The Altimax RT43 on our 09 Subaru Impreza has proven itself as a well rounded performer. The ride is smooth, steering input is good, wet weather conditions are easily handled and light snow is within its range of use. Tire wear is far better than original tires.

Great All Weather Tire

I bought a set of AltiMax RT43 tires in Nov 2017 for my 2015 Camry, I drove through one winter and have about 4K miles on them.  I am pleased with the tires and really have nothing negative to say.  They performed well over the Iowa winter and had good traction in the snow.  On dry roads the ride is good with only slight road noise, certainly less than other all season tires I have had.  I can recommend the AltiMax RT43 tire, and plan to put a set on my 2013 Impala later this year.

Good Tire for the Price

This being my second set of these tires on my wife's car says a lot. My wife commutes 80 miles, six days a week on mostly rural roads. I get a little more mileage out of these tires than more expensive  brands that I have used in the past. When the time comes I will purchase another set.

Great tires

I bought these tires over the summer. they handled great on dry roads and were much quieter than the Yokohama tires I had on prior. I was really impressed once winter came and snow started to fly. We typically get 200 + inches of snow a year.  I enjoy a good drift or doughnut in a parking lot now and again. these tires had so much grip it made it hard to drift or do doughnuts. I was impressed.

Have found the RIGHT TIRE

Long time user of a very good tire however ""brand"" is now driving price and quality, I think, has declined at least over the last 3-4 yrs on sets I've purchased my autos. The General tire brand was recommended by two friends. Very - very pleased with the ride comfort and quiet ride, two areas I have premium requirements

I would hands down buy these tires again!

My Mercedes Benz 4matic has such a quieter, smoother ride.  I'm extremely picky about dependability and performance.   The handling in the snow and rain has also improved dramatically.  I will never buy another fancy tire name again.  You won't be disappointed!!

Great tires!

I've had these tires for five months now and couldn't be more pleased. The tires that came on my Rogue lasted about 25k miles and the replacements that I purchased weren't any better. Not only was the tread life terrible but they were also loud. I'm so glad I did the research and went with the General tires. They perform well, they give a smooth ride, and they aren't noisy. After about 10k miles they show very little wear. It was from reading reviews like this that I made my choice so after you purchase them be sure to give them a review. Great tires! Keep up the great work General!

Good wear and traction

Put them on before winter and had no problems in light or heavy snow. They have a good traction on both snow and rainy days. Although not quite on dry roads in my small Sentra car. Tireso huming can be heard in side the car. Over 20,000 miles and little wear is all that is seen.

Smooth and Quiet

I've driven 40-45,000 miles a year for quite a few years and have tried many brands of tires. After 10 or 15,000 miles, most tires become noisy and many get slightly out of balance. Not so with the AltiMAX RT43! I have over 30,000 on this set and they're as smooth and quiet as the day they were new. I suspected rain and snow traction would also be poor with tires this docile - also not true! I'll certainly be buying more of these!!

Well worth buying

They are better than a four, but they are brand new. I had a set of General Grabber's on my 94 Ford Ranger for about 4 1/2 years and got about 60k on them when they were finally about worn out with 2-3/32 of tread on them. So I was going to buy another set because they were great.  However they didn't make them in my size so I bought these instead in the last week of June 2019, and man and I happy.  These are EXTREMELY quiet was the first thing I noticed.  They had an initial grip from being virgin rubber that I really like but I thought that would wear away very quickly.  So far I've put 1000 miles on them in dry and most recently a severe down pour with several inches of rain that I had a very long drive in.  THey performed like no body's business.  Not a single bit of hydroplaning or squirly steering at all.  Gripped the roads during sharp turns at high speeds all the time.  I can't rate tread life due to being new and I can't rate fuel effiency because they haven't changed it.
