I bought this tire based on the many reviews that stated how great it was in snow. We bought a house in north Idaho as a vacation rental and I travel there once a month to check on it. In the winter, there is a pretty significant amount of snow there and on the passes I need to traverse.  I have to say that this is a great tire. It is quiet and tracks very well in rain. Snow performance is off the charts. 12 inches of snow didn't phase it at all. Even on ice it works as well as possible.   Personally, I never buy dedicated snow tires and this tire makes it easy. Just mount and drive.   I can't comment on tread life as I have only put on about 4k miles on them. But all indications that 45k should not be a problem. These are mounted on my 2004 Toyota Highlander 4WD.

I've had the General Altimax tires on my 2015 Prius V for several months and their great. I've notice a huge Improvement in handling and braking. I've also had several passenger note the smooth ride of the vehicle and I totally agree. My gas milage has remained the same as the stock tires. I will absolutely get these tires again.

I purchased these tires for my 2013 Mazda CX-9 to replace the original equipment tires.  I have about 2000 miles on them now and I am completely satisfied with the tires performance.  They are great in the snow, rain, and on dry pavement.  Low tire noise and feel well planted in spirited driving.  I believe that this tire is one of the best buys on the market right now.

I've had these tires for about 15,000 miles now. They have been nice. Not much road noise, handles well with good tracking, looks good and good traction in the rain. In what little snow we did have, they had good traction as far as I could tell. I'm not an aggressive driver, but these do work well on my Honda Accord.

I have 10k miles on my Generals and am very happy. I was disappointed that I didn't get to try them in any snow to see how they did. But ride quality,wet performance, noise are all above average. Are there better tires? Yes, but not many. And all of those are twice the price. Will I buy again? Yes. Even if I only were to get 30k miles out of them. But they have hardly worn any at all so far. Buy them. You will like them.

I have used General Arctic Altimax for several years and loved them, so I decided to try the RT43 tires on my Toyota Sienna van and Pontiac Vibe. In both instances the ride has been quiet and a good sense of stability. Too soon to tell about tread wear, but they seem to be holding up fine. They do well in rain and snow.

These tires replaced the oem tires on my vehicle that were more than 75% worn at 37,000 miles. The performance in the rain/snow is outstanding, and what is particularly impressive is that on the highway they track superbly. The road feel is good, a little stiffer than the oem's but not a deal breaker. Ihave also put these on my dad and daughter's cars.

I did a lot of research before choosing these tires.  I  managed Bridgestone owned service locations for a number of years, and have always been partial to their product.  But when I read all the reviews for the RT43 at a much better price point, I decided to give them a shot.  I'm very glad I did.  Great hoops at a great price.

2012 Honda Fit Sport (5-speed).  Good traction in the wet.  Good traction in the dry.  Quiet tires compared to the Yokohamas that were on the car before.  A little softer in the corners, but I like how the tires do not track as easily with grooves in the road surface.  Driven 25 miles a day on a mix of side streets, 4 lane roads, and highways.  I only use these in the non-snow seasons.  Easy pick for compact cars in my experience.  Hope this review helps.

I had a set of Michelins on my Ford Transit Connect and replaced them with general RT 43.The generals in the rain when I accelerate from stop signs and red lights spin uncontrollably. I only have about 5000 miles on this set of tires in a years time because of the virus. I would not purchase these tires again because of their poor performance.
