I've been buying this tire for 2 midsize cars (impala/fusion) for about 6 or 7 years.  I do deliveries with my vehicle and have tried many different tires over the last 27 years.  These tires represent the best value by far in how long they last, smooth ride, and price.  In snow, I think they must be the closest thing to snow tires in an all-weather tire..just great!  I know some tires perform differently depending on the size of the car, but for a midsize car I highly recommend these tires to anyone.

I bought these tires altimax rt43 four months ago because of the great reviews the reviews were right these tires handle great are very quiet . I previously had michelins and was not that impressed but the altimax rt43 are a much better performing tire as well as a good value.I would certainly buy these tires again when i need tires in the future.

In Nov. & Dec., 2017, I bought 3 sets of 4 Altimax RT43s, for my AWD Equinox, my spouse's FWD minivan, and for daughter's FWD Kia Spectra.  We have 15,000 miles on all these tires.  It's been a snowy winter in NE PA, and these tires have been very good in snow & rain.  They were near the top of the list in CR's 2018 Buying Guide, which is one of two reasons I chose them.  The other reason is the price was very good compared to other name brands.  They appear to have little wear them after 5 months.  I am very pleased with the Altimax RT43s.

I put these on my Prius before the winter and I've been very pleased with them. I have put about 6,000 miles on the tires and have found that they are very quiet so far. The best feature is that they seem to perform very well in winter conditions for an all-season tire. I have also found that they are good in wet conditions as well. Gas mileage seems to be pretty good too.

This is my overall third set of AltiMax tires. This is the second set on a 2005 Toyota Camry.  First set was on a 2006 Toyota Corolla.  It is uncommon to find a set of tires that have outstanding performance under all road conditions such as dry, wet, and snow covered, and have an excellent life cycle.  Keep up the great work!!!

I have 3 sets of these tire on a CRV, Outback, and Element. They are great tires. I like the fact that they are quiet tires that don't generate a lot of road noise. The vehicles are all AWD, and I live in North East,  Ohio which gets a lot of snow. They work well in snow and on wet roads, they get good traction, and stop straight. I haven't been in a warranty situation but I expect them to have a long life. The tires were competitively priced and I try to rotate them regularly. I recommend these tires to my friends.

These Altimax RT 43 s grip so much better in the snow that it almost seems like I'm driving a different car. The old tires were cheap and worn Sumic brand. I also have General Altima RT 43s on my 2014 Camry. They grip well in rain , snow , and on dry pavement.

I have two sets of these General Altimax Rt 43 tires.  Both are on 87 Chevrolet El Caminos. One set is 14 inch on stock wheels, the other is 15 inch on 8"" rally wheels. They are quiet, ride, drive and handle well. They're good in rain, don't know about snow !  Don't know yet about the tread wear or mileage will be. At this point I'm very well satisfied with them ! .. Thanks, Bear

Absolutely perfect tires if smoothness and quiet are important to you.  Size 225 50R 18.  Astonishing upgrade from Goodyear Eagles they replaced.  Completely smooth and quiet and improved what was already an excellent ride which I didn't think was possible.

I bought these tires for my 2011 Chevy Aveo. I've never had good handling in the rain and these aren't much better but they are the best tires I've had so far. I typically drive 20,000-30,000 miles per year and Michelin doesn't make an all-season tire for my car, they only make a snow tire, that's why I bought these tires. They handle great on dry and snowy surfaces but in the rain they are bad. I think it's just the 2011 Chevy Aveo that has bad handling, so I can't fault the General Altimax R43.
