Yum..great value

I was so excited to find such a high-quality meat, or so I was thinking. It was so odd how every time I cooked this meat my family and I smelled the most odd scent of old cheese. It was terribly unappealing and the flavor was much like the scent. I would love to see what meat other reviewers are eating.

Usually this meat is good but the last time I bought this I was disappointed to find out 2 separate packages where rotten before the sell by date. $30 directly to the trash.

I bought 3 pounds of this today and made hamburgers. The meat was not trimmed well and was coarsely ground, so there are large chunks of gristle (tendons). My husband said it was the worst beef he's had in a long time. The hamburgers also shrank more than I'd expect for an 85% lean beef. Wish I didn't still have 2 pounds to use up. Since there were other positive reviews, maybe this wasn't from their usual supplier, but I won't risk buying it again.

The first time I served this to my family I made hamburgers...they all heted the meat and most of the burgers went to waste. I didn't tell them anything...they simply said it was bad meat and tasted bad. I waited 2 months and used some of the meat to make spagetti and it was a repeat of before...bad taste.

Hubby and I were very excited to try this. To try out the flavor, we decided to make burgers on the grill. We were not fans. The meat was watery coming out of the package. When cooked, the burger was dry, it crumbled when we cut into it, and we cooked it perfectly to medium, pink in the middle. I thought it was the worst tasting ground beef I have ever had, hubby said it was not his favorite, but he could eat it. I gave my burger to the dog. She had no complaints.

I never thought I would be able to tell the difference between grass fed ground beef and regular ground beef but, there is definitely a difference. This taste is great and I have purchased this quite a few times over the last few weeks!

Very fatty for 85% beef. When grilled, it shriveled up to slider size. Very disappointed.
