Great features

We now own two Vizio D-Series 32" Class Smart TV's and are very impressed with all of the features these sets have to offer. The picture is exceptional, easy to operate, and the Smartcast is absolutely a terrific feature. This allows you to watch movies, documentaries, and TV shows that we're unable to get without this feature, all for free. If you are unfamiliar with Vizio products, I would suggest taking a look before buying any other Smart TV. They are an excellent choice and value.

I love having all the tv apps on the main screen.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had this tv for awhile . This is the first smart tv Ive ever had. Only wish I had bought it brand new. I was very disappointed to discover it was reconditioned. The sound was not good from the beginning. The speaker was blown and the sound was distorted

Fantastic Television!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This television was reasonable priced. It has great quality, and it was super easy to set up! We paid more for a Samsung in another room which was much more difficult to set up, and it does NOT have as many extras as this Vizio! I've recommended Vizio to many others because we have been so pleased with the setup, the quality of the picture, and the ease of operation. It was a great buy!

Just what I was looking for!

I was in search of a TV for my office. This one turned out to be a sweet deal. It was idea for hanging in the corner of the room. The picture is at 1080 pixels. It looks terrific. It easy to understand how to use the remote and onboard manual. It is loaded with features. It is connected to my antenna and receives all the expected channels. It has quite a few apps already installed. The most popular apps are installed on the remote. And this tv is very light.

I hate it

I have to unplug it & replug just to turn it on. I did the recommended hard reset & it didn't help. The manual is grossly inadequate to set up the tv. I hate the controls & they are extremely slow to respond to channel changes. I can't read the “info” on the screen because at 7 feet the print is too too small to read requiring me to get out of my seat to go up to the screen to read & im legal to drive without glasses. I will ever buy another Vizio product.

Has trouble connecting

Overall it's a pretty sleek-looking TV and has decent quality for the size. The connection to Wifi though is very poor and often disconnects and has to restart. My connection is strong and I don't have any issues with any of my other devices so it has to be the machine. I've asked friends to try it at their home to test it and they've encountered a similar issue - sometimes the TV can't even detect their own wifi even with a direct connection to the port using an ethernet cable. Because of this, the "Cast" capabilities are also pretty poor (it took me like 3 hours to watch a single episode on HBO because I kept have to restart the connection). Thankfully I don't have to use the TV since I have it in my room for when my roommates annoy me but this is a pretty significant problem. I've learned to live with it and when it works it works great.

Two issues

First, the sound is not good and the equalizer only has 4 or 5 pre-set options, so you can't fine tune the sound. I'll have to add some kind of sound device. Second, the lack of a non-glare screen results in reflection problems, so you have to find a way to view it that avoids those.

Hello Big Tex, thank you for your feedback it is appreciated. With the audio level if you go into the equalizer settings and press down you can adjust the individual frequencies to create a custom audio type for your television.

Looks nice but doesn't perform well

We've had this tv for maybe 2 years. It disconnects from the WiFi and doesn't load the home page all the time. It constantly crashes apps. It's been doing this since early on. I've tried connecting it directly to the extender and it didn't help. Maybe if I directly connected it, then it would, but either way, not the greatest tv at all. Oh, and it also doesn't turn off most of the time and struggles to turn on. I have to unplug it from the wall constantly. Sometimes I'll turn it off and then it comes back on with a slightly blank screen.

Extreme lag

Bought this about a year and a half ago and was great the first couple months. After that it started lagging with everything it did. Now almost all the streaming apps will freeze about 15 minutes into a show or movie and will either stay like that or they'll crash and take me back to the Home Screen. It does have an awesome picture and good sound quality but this lagging and app issues drives me crazy. I was thinking of upgrading to a 65 but now I'm hesitant in staying with Vizio.

It is what we expected.

We have 2 other VIZIO TVs. They have worked flawlessly since we purchased them. The new one was a little difficult to set up at first as it is connected by WIFI. However, because it is a 32" TV, I was able to connect it in my office via ethernet cable to complete the setup. After that, it has been working perfectly with WIFI. My son is using it as a monitor for his computer as he needs the larger format due to his poor eyesight. Plus, he can use it as a TV if he chooses. We chose it rather than a monitor primarily because of the higher pricing for computer monitors.
