Mounting instructions confusing and required drilling holes in the window frame. Lots of gaps allowing light and air to come in on the sides of the unit requiring extra foam. Unit was rated for 350 sq ft room and took 3 hours to cool down room less than 200 sq ft and could only get room down to 70 degrees. I would not recommend this unit and will be taking this one back to store for refund.

We looked at the other BIG name competitor but reviews were poor. Just installed this Frigidaire last Tuesday and only took me minutes. I'm a teacher and previously was a manufacturing engineer. Install instructions are detailed and so easy to follow...anyone can do it. The previous reviews that said the remote beeps are loud...I strongly disagree. This AC cools our just over 200 sq. ft. 12'x17' bedroom fast on HIGH, then we reduce it to LOW. We run it on LOW at night and it's very quiet...just gentle white noise. My wife's a light sleeper and it doesn't bother her a bit. It's been in the 90's with stifling humidity here in western PA and this Frigidaire is easily keeping us at a comfortable and dry 72 degrees on LOW. I highly recommend this one.

this is the cheapest a/c with 8000 btu that we can find and with our economy today.... we've been using the a/c for about a month now and it really exceed my expectation! i thought that the quality will suffer because we bought the cheapest one, but i'm wrong. this a/c can cool a room 13x13 easily, it is quiet except when you put the fan on high, and the remote even had a digital thermometer.

Bought this to use in a small business I have. Only used for about a month and it worked great. Stored for the winter. Next season used for about 3 months and it worked good. Stored nicely in the garage for the winter. Took it out this June and it rattles like crazy. Still cools off the room but makes a horrible noise. Did all we could to fix the problem and it's in the compressor. So only got use of it for 4 months and that's only a couple of weeks in total. Now can't use it because it's so loud. Contacted Electrolux which makes this unit. They said the unit was off warranty after one year. Yet the manual states 2-5 years warranty for the compressor and motor. So after much complaining they decided to reimburse. But what's the point of the 2-5 year warranty if they say only replace at one year??? Anyhow I would not recommend this unit. It's no good when it's so loud.

Needed a unit for the bedroom of 200 Sq Ft but for the price difference went with this more powerful unit figuring it would not have to work so hard to do the job. This is not only cooling the bedroom but with a floor fan in the doorway, it's also cooling the rest of the second floor of over 400 sq ft. Great features and the remote control is a real plus, great that you can set it to read the temperature from where the remote is so that the whole room gets to the set number before it shuts down. Just don't let the remote fall under the covers with you or place it where the sun will heat it up and run the AC more than needed. Some have said it is loud, but we don't find it any louder than other window units. And of couse, some might have it set for high fan speed when the low setting would work for them and be quieter at the same time. Very glad we bought this AC. Also happy that Walmart offers a three year warranty extension for a very low price, now we have four years peace of mind with it.

this air conditioner works great looks nice in the window, and cools off our living room and kitchen really good, i have told friends about this great deal. i would buy one again if i needed it.i have never gotten any thing bad from walmart in all the years i have brought from them.

very nice a/c, cools large room with tall ceiling, (20x25x10), remote needs and should have a backlight, so you could see what your doing when lights are off.
