So far I love this air conditioner. It is not loud like the last one I had. Remote works great and very simple to operate.

We haven't used it yet it is still winter but we have bought Frigidaire High Efficiency air conditioners for 10 years and all are awesome. So hopefully this will be the same case. Happy customer so far.

I purchased this 8,000 BTU Air Conditioner for my husband. He had purchased a 12,000 BTU Unit for a hurricane. We only use the 110 volt window air condtioners when we have a hurricane or a storm, or when the electricity is out for a long period of time. My husband can cool off a large bedroom and another small room with the unit using a generator. We returned the 12,000 BTU, because he wanted a unit that would not take two people to insert into the window and he could handle it by himself. This air contioner had all of the bells and whistles so to speak. Timer, remote and temperature control speeds, etc., and it only weighs about 50 pounds. It actually fit into a very small bathroom window. It really does cool down about 350 square ft. of living area. I do reccommend this product to anyone. We haven't had it very long to tell you how it will hold up over time. I figured if it last a couple of years, I have gotten my money's worth. I ordered it online on a Thursday, and it was delivered to our local store by Saturday for free. Can't beat that; Way to Go Wal-Mart!

This is a good unit works well (I have the same model in a 15,000BTU and did not have any problems also paid top dollar when I brought it) but like most of the other reviews the unit was poorly constructed in the final stages. Brackets to attach to window does not have all the holes drilled through them for screws to secure it. this must have been a major close out priced item since this is a big issue with most of the reviews. Therefore should have been a better price off the original price. Could only be secure to one side not such a good thing. Oh yeah and I had it shipped because I am handicapped so who wants to try and return it.

We bought this air conditioner to replace a room air conditioner of ours that broke. The unit cools very well and I love the electronic features & remote control. My only "con" regarding this air conditioner is that it seems rather loud when it runs. We have to turn the TV up very high in order to hear it over the air conditioner. But for the price and quality of the unit, I'm very satisfied. It's better than not having air conditioning, that's for sure.

This is my second Frigidaire A/C unit. I bought the first in 2005, now in 2012 it started to not cool as well as it did previously, so I bought this one to replace it. I am very pleased with it!! My old one was 6,000 BTU, this one is 8,000 BTU - and you sure can tell the difference. Even when the sun beats down on this, it doesn't lose any of it's cooling power and cools the room in a fraction of the old one. It's quite quiet, especially in "Sleep Mode", so it doesn't disturb my sleep. I also like that while in this mode of operation the temp will slowly go up a bit to keep you from freezing. It's digital controls are easy to use, and powerful. The remote control is excellent. I like how it tells you the temp in the room AND has remote sensing, and can use the remote as the thermostat instead of the A/C unit if you want to.

This 8000 BTU Frigidaire window unit is a mean little machine...The AC unit in my bedroom went out during 104-108 degree temps we've had this summer. I have a window AC unit in my dining room--but at an oppossite end of my house, the cool air doesn't reach my bedroom. l searched stores here in Oklahoma City for another unit for my bedroom but found they were all sold out. I went Online and searched and had found two available--but the shipping charges were around $70. Then I checked WalMart Online...and found this Frigidaire 8000 BTU with shipping charges of only 97 cents...and at a great price too! I had placed my order on a Sunday...received notice on Monday that the unit had been shipped...and it was delivered to my door on Tuesday. That was an answer to prayers! I was able to get my neighbor to install the AC that Tuesday evening and have enjoyed cool comfort again in my bedroom. With the remote control there's a choice of several selections at my fingertips...it is quiet and really puts out the cold air! I haven't used the sleep mode as yet...I set the temp at 77 and low fan at night before I go to bed and it has kept the bedroom nice and cool all night. This little unit has been all I could ask for...and the delivery service sure couldn't be beat. I would recommend this unit from WalMart Online to anyone in need.

This air conditioner was for my small craft shop. The air conditioner was replacing one the same size, except this time there was a work table in front of it. The remote control made it possible for this short person not to have to crawl over a table and stand on tip toes to control the on/off switch, the fan speed, the air temperature, and the timer. And the timer was such an unexpected treasure as, if I set the timer, if I forget to turn off the air conditioner when I leave, it will automatically shut off. And everything about this air conditoner works as advertised. A lot of product for the money.
