I have used the liquid laundry detergent for many years; until now, I would not have used any other product. However, the "free & clear" with the new green cap has changed my mind. The instructions say to fill to line 3 or line 5, but there are no lines on the new, green cap! And the cap is difficult to use. Please return to the white cap on the liquid detergent, and also return to the original formula, if you have changed the formula for the "new green cap." I am very unhappy with the changes you have made in this product, and I will now search for a new product to use, unfortunately. Thank you for your attention and action.

I've been using your laundry detergent for well over 10 years. You changed the package size over a year ago. Same price for less loads of laundry. I continued to buy because it is the best detergent I've used. My husband reacts to most other detergents. Not yours. Now you've changed the lid from white to green. The new lid is horrible. It makes a mess every time I pour it. The new lid might be smaller but it is not better.

How did this cap make it through the Research and Development department? Why change from the old cap which worked just fine? You spill more on everything else than what makes it into the washer. You need to fix this, like yesterday. We'll just switch to a different Free & Clear brand for the time being because cleaning up after this is not worth the extra time.

Green cap means STOP and DON'T BUY for the supposedly new and "improved" Free and Clear Laundry Detergent---The green CAP is absolutely the WORST I have found on any product I normally buy, and the formulation itself has been changed somewhat (not for the better--I kept my old, empty jug with the white cap so I read the fine print.) Years ago I broke a tiny bone in my right palm--I can't open the green cap without my heftiest jar opener. I'm returning and changing brands even though I have been a loyal customer of "Free and Clear" for years. WHY? No environmentally conscious explanation or similar is a satisfactory answer...

The new 100oz bottles of Lavender laundry soap have patchouli, everyone. It is not stated on the front of the bottle. The bottle says 'new fresh lavender scent' which is not true and misleading- as the only scent is patchouli It has permeated my clothes, as well, as a previous reviewer stated, even after washing 3 times to rid the odor. The scent of patchouli is very bothersome and my family is sensitive to it. I've hassled all day with my stinky patchouli laundry issue and feel it is fair to leave this review and hope it helps anyone else.

just to echo all of the other comments about the new cap, it's awful. where are the measurement lines? i have perfect vision and cannot see them. also- i've been using this detergent for years and i'm all of a sudden itchy everywhere. was there a formula change?? i'm absolutely baffled i didn't expect to have a sudden allergic reaction.

I'm so sick and tired of the new cap. It drips everywhere! I don't understand why they thought this was a good design. Every time I use it, I get detergent on my hands, on the bottle, and on my laundry room floor. I had to start storing the bottle inside of a tote because it's so messy. I will be switching to a different brand until this is fixed.

I've been using this detergent for years, and I've always liked it. But the cap on the new packaging is so poorly designed that you can't really use it now. So I'm currently looking for alternatives for when my current container runs out. There are many different problems with the cap, the main one being that it drips like crazy. The no-drip cap has been standard in the industry for many decades. The previous packaging of this had a no-drip cap. It's beyond me why you thought it was a good idea to replace that with this mess. Speaking of which, it's impossible to use this without creating a huge mess. And you get the detergent all over your hands whenever you touch the container. And the detergent drips into the threads which makes it difficult to screw the cap back onto the jug. And the microscopic fill line is functionally impossible to see. It took me about half an hour, a bright light and magnifying glasses to even find it. Please fix this. You make a good product, and it's a shame that something as trivial as the cap renders it unusable. Really, fix this.

I have used this detergent for quite some time and been happy with it. However, the new green cap is absolutely terrible...bad enough for me to switch to a different product. The instructions say to fill to "Line 3" or "Line 5" and there is not a "Line 3" or "Line 5" on the cap. There aren't any measuring lines on the cap...so no clue how much to add to the laundry. It's also very messy, with the detergent dripping out when you put the cap back on. It's a terrible step back in packaging. I pay extra to have a better product. I definitely did not get my money's worth this time! If you see the green cap move on and buy something else.

I have been using the laundry detergent for nearly a decade. The new lid design was unnecessary and is terrible. The new lid does not allow for detergent to drain back into the bottle, but to leak out forming a mess. Please revert back to the old design.
