I have had fried Turkeys. I have had oven-roasted Turkeys. Outside of Turkey lunchmeat, I don't really care for any of it. It all changed today. I finally understand what Sinead O'Connor was singing about in "Nothing Compares 2 U." Look, I'm no review writer. I'm a dude who just enjoys food--and I can assure you that as long as these bad boys exist within the confines of Sams Club's freezers in the month of November, they will be a staple at my Thanksgiving table. Period. They are game-changers. They are foolproof, tender, juicy, tasty---virtually everything Thanksgiving Turkey traditionally isn't. Sure, they won't come with the stories in years to come of blowing up your Turkey fryer or forcing your in-laws to dump a gallon on the leatherized poultry from the oven, but that's okay. It's a time saver. This turkey was an absolute grand slam at our Thanksgiving. It was flavorful enough that everybody raved about it, but mild enough that those who didn't like smoked foods enjoyed it as well. Notwithstanding, as a fully-cooked turkey, it was so simple to reheat. I'd post a picture, but, for the first time in years, the entire thing is GONE. Buy this Turkey. It shouldn't even be a question.

We have bought this smoked turkey for many years and enjoyed it. This is the first year it is inedible so inedible we had to throw it out. It was slimy right out of the package. It fell apart the wings literally fell off! Then there was mushy chunky granule things literally in the bird! Handfuls if it! What a disappointment!

THIS IS NOT CONVENTIONAL TURKEY FOLKS. so if you buy one thinking it is .. you are STUPID .. Amazing product for the price .. and yes the dark meat will taste like ham somewhat .. the white meat will taste like smoked turkey and a great one at that.. BEST smoked turkey by far for any price.. ONCE AGAIN MEMBERS MARK TO THE TOP SHELF - THANKS SAMS

This smoked turkey was a hit for Thanksgiving. We bought an 11 pound bird and it took 2.5 hours to reach an internal tempurature of 145 degrees. It was very moist and flavorful on Thanksgiving and just as good reheated later for left overs. I hope this turkey is available in the future.

I went through a lot of trouble to get the smoked turkey because I live far from a Sam's club. I've never had smoked turkey and I wanted to try something different this Thanksgiving. Even though the turkey only weighed 12#, it was very tough and had lots of tendons just like a very old turkey. It had globs of strange looking fat inside the turkey cavity and under the skin, like someone put it there. The smoke flavor was really bad. I've cooked lots of turkeys in my life and this turkey was absolutely the worst. It was a waste of my $20.00.

This turkey is not smoked. It is injected with smoke flavored chemicals. The meat was mushy, the skin was like plastic, and it was extremely greasy and salty. It was not cleaned well and there were also intestinal/glandular parts left inside. I don't know if I will ever get the smell it left behind out of my house. Very disappointing.

Thanksgiving '24 -- I thought I would save some work this year, and try this Vacuum Packed refrigerated Smoked Turkey. it was "OK", but I won't do it again! The bright side is that it was just my wife and I this year, so i didn't embarrass myself! I only cooked 1/2 and threw the other 1/2 away.

Looking to lighten our food prep load for Thanksgiving, I purchased a smoked turkey from Sam's Club two weeks ago (early November). With a "Use or freeze by..." date weeks away, I felt safe keeping it in the 'fridge. The suggested time to heat the slightly over 12# turkey was right on, coming to temp in about 2 hrs 15 min. We were absolutely thrilled when I began to slice it. The turkey was moist and DELICIOUS. Lots of great flavor without an overpowering smoke taste. It fed 11 with leftovers. I think my days of cooking a holiday turkey from scratch are over. Member's Mark Smoked Turkey is my new "go to" for the holidays whenever they are available.

Just Awful! Bought this for Thanksgiving (2024) because the smoked turkey I got from Sam's last year was great. I'm not sure what brand it was last year. I even went back and got another for Christmas. This Turkey got thrown away. It had an awful taste/flavor. Very weird, can't explain it. It definitely wasn't a smoked taste. Didn't even taste like turkey. So disappointed when you have quest! Will not buy again! A waste of $30!

Meet appears to be undercooked especially the dark meet. Very red and fleshy. I am familiar with smoked turkey having done several myself and eaten it smoked by others both restaurants and home cooked, so I know what a properly cooked smoked turkey looks and tastes like. The flavor isn't smokey but very salty. Looks and tastes more like undercooked ham.
