The BTU rating is misleading. BTU is a good way to rate a window unit. When purchasing a portable A/C, you need to know the BTU SACC rating. This number is much lower. The effective BTU rating for portable air conditioners (DOE/SACC) can be between 30-50% lower than a window unit.

It stopped working within 40 days or so after purchase. First the numbers stopped showing so I couldn't see the temperature and then it just went out an hour later. Thank God Sam's Club has a 90 day warranty. I returned it to Sam's club. However, it take 10 days to refund your money.

I bought this unit 2 years ago, worked amazing. Kept it well manetained and now 7/10/24 when I need it the most because of hurricane Beryl, it wants to not cool a small bedroom. I will shout it to everyone do not waste your money on this machine!!!!!!

I actually loved it for 2 years. I have tried to take good care of it ( filter, draining etc) All of a sudden I came home one day and the HL light was flashing. I drain it. It will go again and then stops after a while. This has just continued. Disappointed

Purchased 6/20 and it stopped working right 7/21. Probably only used 3 months. Won't by DeLonghi again.

It's well built. Needed to remove back panal to clean lower coils after running in an extremly dusty enviroment for a year. Try the real feel!

OMG I can't believe all the bad reviews! I started buying these units 5 yrs ago. We rented a house in Torrance with no air conditioning. Every room had a unit. I've never had one stop working! Every kid had one in there room. Super easy to install.

I've had this unit for like 3 years. It steadily declined and didn't cool that great over time. Now it makes this horrible rattling noise that doesn't stop

Purchased just two years ago to use to cool down the bedroom so as not to have to air condition the whole house. Since this was my 4th or 5th unit to own, I am very aware and followed all maintenance guidelines. It seemed to be working fine but not as well as older units I owned. Then it made a horrible noise and we discovered the rotating fan blades inside had just fallen apart. They are cheap plastic and look much older than a 2 year old model.

Excellent price for a fabulous unit!
