Works great

Purchased the unit in July. It maintained a 50% humidity level through September, when we started having an issue with it. Called C/S and in 1 short phone call had the authorization to get a replacement. That unit has been working great since we plugged it in. Thank you for being a company i look forward to doing business with.

A disappointment

I bought this dehumidifier in June and it stopped working properly in mid-August (2.5 months). Frigidaire is going to reimburse the purchase price not including tax. But I had to bring it to an authorized service center which was 25 miles away for them to tell me that it was not repairable. Frigidaire did not reimburse me for my gas expense nor mileage. Not at all happy with Frigidaire.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Works basically OK. However there is a major downside. Filter reset seems to be required every 10 or so days, especially when it's more humid in the summer. The filter does not appear to be dirty or clogged. It's quite clear. So, when the filter reset light goes on, the machine turns off and that's that. No more de-humidification in our basement until the filter's removed, returned, then the machine reset. What this means is that one can't go away for more than a few days without having someone -- e.g. a neighbor -- check on the dehumidifier and make sure it's functioning as it should. NOT GOOD.

Hi, DaveHC. I can understand your concern. The CLEAN FILTER light will illuminate after 250 hours of operation. If you are running it continuously, you should be able to pretty much gauge when the light will come on (roughly every 10 days) unless the air quality is poor (such as dust, smoke, etc.). ~ Brandi

Best thing ever would trade it for a million

The first day I emptied it 4 times run it constantly my house smells so fresh I move it from room to room. I had a leak in my roof and before I realized it ran down my Sheetrock and saturated part of my ceiling 1 day with this machine and it was dry I am very empressed wish I would have took before and after pictures can't hardly wait to save money to get another one

Great dehumidifier

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this unit about a month ago. It's been a champ, lowering the humidity in our damp basement to 35% RH in the first few days. Now it's just running intermittently to maintain a clean, dry atmosphere in our basement. Highly recommend!!

These don't last

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my third one of these 70 and 50 pint dehumidifiers. The compressors fail within 2 years. The display and fan keep working so it's hard to realize the compressor stops working until you realize it isn't taking out moisture. I have mine drain with the hose so you don't have to empty the reservoir which is handy but hard to realize it failed.

Great Product.

Love, Love, Love My New Dehumidifier!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This has been one of the best big purchases that I've ever made. I didnt realize how much moisture was in the air until i bought this. Our floors were "damp" feeling all the time. I wore flip flops all day. Since we've been running tbe dehumidifier....no more dampness or flip flops in the house! I highly recommend this to everyone!

Works very well

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Does a good job of taking the humidity out of my home which is built on a concrete slab. Bucket is easy to empty. I would have given it 5 stars but it is quite noisy in the great room where i need it.

Doesn't take as much water out of room as previous

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a replacement for one that was not working and I am a little disappointed in it because it does not seem to take the moisture out of the room as quickly as the previous one that was the same model and size. It works but not as effective as I would have hoped

Hello, pkbs.   Thanks for taking a moment to share your feedback with us.   I am disappointed to learn you are not getting the best performance from your replacement dehumidifier.   Please try leaving your unit running in the CONTINUOUS setting for the about three or four days until the sweating and dampness odors have stopped. After a few days when the Relative Humidity has declined, press the HUMIDITY or buttons to choose a value between 35% to 85%, so the room is kept at a comfortable humidity.   If the above suggestion proves ineffective, please contact us directly by dialing 800-374-4432.
